And the biggest loser is actually John Folau. Can't see him getting much of a run now.......

    The Israel Folau saga

He'd be mad to go down this road, though. He's been kicked out of the game, a move that has been received positively by the majority of fans. Even the NRL don't want him. So he thinks he can fight this and just walk back into the game? Don a gold jersey and head to the World Cup? Score...

    The Israel Folau saga

OK so let's get this back on track. RA have signalled their intent to terminate his contract, and now it seems Israel wants to fight this termination. While many of us have applauded RA's strong stance, they haven't left themselves much room to move on this. Is there any way Israel can save...

    The Israel Folau saga

OK let's keep it civil and broadly rugby/Folau related. Starting to veer off track a bit.

    The Israel Folau saga

I'd argue we should actually be discussing the reformation in more threads. I believe many of the Wallabies tight forward issues can be traced back to the Council of Chalcedon- a fact that's been completely ignored by the fake news rugby media. .

Sadly though there's no-one in Australia who can do what he did at 1:58.

    The Israel Folau saga

If they were just 'happy clapper' memes then we wouldn't have a problem. Everyone is fine with general 'Jesus is great' chat. This is well past happy clapper, it's old testament fire and brimstone 'repent or else' garbage. Which is the problem. .

    The Israel Folau saga

If RA were smart, they would have set out in his contract the penalty for doing what he's just done. Then they penalise him accordingly. Not for posting a slur on social media per se, but for breaking a clause set out in his contract. Whether that's a fine, a ban or sacking, whatever. They...

    The Israel Folau saga

Yes but do you see the issue - his employer has told him not to do that. They haven't told him not to hold the views, just that he shouldn't air them publically. Now whether you agree with that directive or not, surely you can't deny he has quite publically disobeyed it in this instance. .

Mitch Inman was up there too from memory. And Sam Wykes.

    The Israel Folau saga

I don't think they will tear up his contract. He will probably cop a ban though. I'd be interested to see the reaction of the other Christian players to whatever happens. It seems many subscribe to his beliefs, especially the Islander players. Would they see any action as Israel being...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I see some logic in it if it's just for the Cup itself and not longer term. A bit like State of Origin coaching staff - less technical expertise and more motivational/attitudinal stuff. Could work in the short term but isn't a good idea for any longer than a month or so. .

Also one player observation. He won't figure in World Cup calculations unless injuries strike, but man I've been impressed with Harry Johnson-Holmes. He had his best game of the season against the Blues, and that season was already impressive (which is born out in the stats published by Reg...

Back to Gits for a second. Is it possible that he's just amazing in the sheds? Consider the scenario that he might have been so important in RWC 2015 that Cheik wants him back around the squad next time around. It's just a theory. But maybe this is less about coaching our attack and more about...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Wasn't it an issue with NZ teams representing a wider region than the city they mentioned? So the Canterbury Crusaders weren't just Canterbury, and the same went for the Otago Highlanders, Wellington Hurricanes, Waikato Chiefs and Auckland Blues.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yes, but in another way we're going back to the 20th century too - midweek games by touring teams, geographic locations in team names. I suppose we could include the occasional Wallaby victory there, but that may be too much to ask.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeah I like that idea, and the Rugby Championship 'tour' concept too. Would definitely pay to see the Tahs (no Wallabies) play a second-string Bok team.

That was one of the more bizarre things this team has done.

    Waratahs 2019

Tahs live streaming a 'major announcement' in 7 or so minutes. God knows what it could be. This is the description: The NSW Waratahs will be announcing a major change to their key structures that will change the face of how the rest of the season will be seen, leading into the Rugby World Cup...
