GPS 4th Grade 2012 (now Brisbane 3rds) won the Premiership with many of the same players who won the Premiership in Norths Brisbane 2nd grade 2014 side. GPS 4th Grade 2013 (same again, now called Brisbane 3rds) won the Premiership as well but weren't stacked like the previous year.

McWhirter went to lower grades training last week apparently. Will be playing in one of those teams soon.

Bit of shame for the lower grade guys though. 2nds and 3rds have been shafted to 5pm and 6.20pm kick off times, especially with a Reds home game on. Not putting the blame on Easts at all but its a shame for the guys in those teams.

Yeh I know clubs have done that in the past ie if you walk in the gates after 2pm you pay.

GPS is $450 for seniors this year. I believe the club is trying to wear the increased levies.

Whomever gets picked, the Reds need less guys trying to be Mr. Consistent and more guys trying to run over the top of players and actually make some meters. Too many workhorses not enough warhorses.

I believe a combination of head knocks and fulltime work kind of forced Stower into retirement. I have heard he may feature in a few lower grade games though during the season. The Picone connection hasn't seemed to decimate GPS as I had once feared!

Damian Stower has retired and Grasso is injured at the moment TT. Its going to be a very different looking side. Swansong I haven't gotten to see much of GPS Prem grade in action so far but yes they have been trialing as a Prem/Prem Reserve squad for essentially the entire pre-season. Good...

There is a colts thread which may provide you with more info swansong, im not quite sure of those players status How do you think souths will go this year? Traditionally they have been strong club wide but things look different this year. Maybe the Prems will come home with the goods though?

I agree Floggn' but its the mentality the QRU have at the moment. They realise they've f**ked up but don't want to admit fault yet and now are waiting until they can fully throw the current coaching staff under the bus. Unfortunately, for us as fans that point was essentially at the end of 2014...

Agreed Braveheart, RG is in no way 'safe'. As I posted in the Reds 2015 thread, my mail tells me the knives are out for him at QRU headquarters but only behind closed doors at this stage. Everyone is playing nice to the press to try and suppress the riots that are happening within the fan base...
