Academic scholarships/bursaries tend to be conditional on results - does anyone with inside knowledge know if sporting bursaries are conditional - I know of a swimmer at one of the usual suspects that had it withdrawn.

A As a parent absolutely agree - great that our kids have access to the best facilities - hopefully some of the non-bursary kids at Scots turn from year 7 fatties into GPS champs like my son at a less well equipped school did. Seriously, that is what we should celebrate - the 13 nothing kid...

Hmmm - 14 wins 17 losses 2 draws against Shore who went 3 and 39 against Joeys. Most of the wins in A/Bs - nuff said. As you say winning with depth is enjoyable but winning without scholarships is even more enjoyable.

Absolutely - by selecting them the AAGPS is at best adopting a Sgt Shultz defence and at worst is completely condoning the practice. The counterargument is how do they set a criteria for exclusion that captures all the scholars and not some of the innocent. I would just start with the boys...
