^^^^^Can someone collate RL's sermons, parcel them up, and send them off to the bunker at St Leonard's - separate copies for Chair, CEO, and Coach (also include the one about checking appropriateness of boots/sprigs before a game ).

If you watch most kickers you will see them look at the ball then toward the posts then back toward the ball.
I've wondered if that's why Farrell tilts his head to one side when he lines up a kick -- it looks like he's putting his head at the same angle as the ball.

His head tilt is a little odd but so is Wilkinson's cupping of his hands before he starts his approach which many kickers copied. I have never been able to work out how that was supposed to help but hey, if it works for you, good luck to you.

Most kickers seem to have tics which help them focus - JOCs little robot walk maybe not the best example right now.

^Beale was using the wrong boots or wrong studs for wet pitch. A wee bit unprofessional for a experience customer like him

I'm unclear as to how this relates to the subject of this thread, it's just general game commentary is it not?
It's an alternate English viewpoint that I was asked to post. As opposed to Lord Bald's "the Lions were far superior" stance, Phil suggests they got lucky.

Nice article re Leigh H's personal history as a kicker:

Georgie Robinson seems not so convinced that the Wallabies need a full-time kicking coach as she concludes we have kicked so well many times in the past (but is her analysis over the last few years rigorous enough?):

.........whilst Neil Jenkins hails his BIL kickers:

Robinson's article is largely ARU spin. She cherry picks the kicks that won matches but doesn't mention the numerous average displays over recent years. It'd be interesting to know what the actual percentages are for Wallabies kickers compared to those of other top tier nations.

As of Rd. 15 of 2013 Super Rugby the Australian conference averaged 70% of attempts at kicking for points. NZ was at 74% and SA at 80%.

So yeah in a very plain way, Australia has a problem.

I'm not surprised by that at all, USAR. I suspect that the disparity is even greater at test level.

Maybe KB (Kurtley Beale) and JOC (James O'Connor) could have gone to bed at midnight on Tuesday and had a practice kicking session the following morning prior to the squad session? Surely a more productive use of their time?
