    Refereeing decisions

In some respects, yes, but there are more points of contact and bind between the two (and therefore manipulation) than just the tighthead's bind on the loosehead. Anyway, I'm going to bow out now, but hopefully that helps to answer your initial query about a loosehead intentionally hinging...

    Refereeing decisions

Because a) it's a demonstration, and b) as mentioned before, there are some potential advantages if you can get away with it. As demonstrated in the video, the loosehead angling down will also destabilise the tighthead and bring them down. A bit of slippage and fracturing thereafter and you get...

The first part of this video gives a good demonstration of it The rest is just the result of physics

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Unfortunately it isn't 2011/12 anymore. 35k off the back of last year's results is honestly more than I expected. Just like the Reds, if the Wallabies can start winning, they'll also be drawing higher crowds.

    Refereeing decisions

The benefit to intentional hinging is collapsing the opposing scrum, either drawing a penalty or painting a picture for the referee

    Refereeing decisions

Yep, it really is chalk and cheese. A scrum from 1991 Bledisloe attached for ease of reference.

    Refereeing decisions

If your concern is one team trying to take advantage of the rules at scrum time, I'm not sure this is the solution. Scrums are a tricky one to crack given their nature. I think the variations trialled in Super made a big difference.

Yeah, it's almost worth hedging the emotional distress in the event of a loss

I'm not sure we would expect Daugunu to come straight in? I'd assume his contracted period starts from preseason '25

    Queensland Reds 2024

So between Wallabies call-ups and injuries, who the hell do we have left in the centres for Wales? JOC (James O'Connor) (if not injured) and Creighton?

    Queensland Reds 2024

Great start of the season following his NPC jaunt, but I feel he regressed towards his usual criticisms as the season went on

Melbourne Rebels Players - where are they going?

Just to be clear, I wasn't ridiculing @Rebel man or any other Rebels supporter for the way they feel - I fully understand the hurt and anger that results - regardless of whether I feel it's somewhat misguided. My point was more around if there's a lack of interest in Wobs/RA, why continue to...

    Ballymore Redevelopment

I thought I'd heard it did, but could be wrong as I'm not local to the area - happy for someone to correct me.

    Ballymore Redevelopment

Perry Park also floods pretty regularly with king tides doesn't it? Obviously there could be an engineered solution, but hydrology is never cheap, simple, and dare I say reliable...

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

I think it wasn't so much that he was sent away to work on things (i.e. H Wilson), more that he was unavailable due to injury, or not really selectable due to limited game time he'd seen as a result. Probably a hot take from a one-eyed Reds fan, but I reckon his form has been consistent enough...
