Lynagh has signed an extension through 2026 (was already signed for 2025) https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/06/23/exclusive-wallaby-in-waiting-lynagh-re-signs-with-reds-in-boost-for-aussie-rugby/

Dan McKellar has suddenly become available: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2024/06/22/leicester-tigers-sack-dan-mckellar-hire-michael-cheika/ Cheika being looked at to replace him at Leicester so he may be off the table. That said McKellar at the tahs would be a vastly superior option...

The Welsh camp does not look like a particularly happy one in the lead up to their tour here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-13555743/Wales-hooker-Sam-Parry-leaves-squad-summer-tour.html?ico=authors_pagination_desktop

Wisemantel as head coach with one of Friend, Raiwalui or Millard as Director of Rugby sounds like the makings of a really solid coaching team.

    Australian Rugby / RA

2022 was not exactly a normal year for that - the tahs went without a major sponsor form that season, so you'd expect to see the number be significantly lower than other years for Waratahs inc. I do agree they have done a very poor job of engaging what should be a relatively friendly...

    Western Force 2025

You just got Swain. I can't see any reason for RA to push Salakaia-Loto or Canham to the Force if they're not already interested in heading there. Rodda likely isn't getting a top up because he hasn't played for the wallabies since 2021, and has barely been on the field the last 2 years it's...

I'd assume Saitama again as well and some number of challenge cup games

    Waratahs 2025

By all accounts he was part of the problem, certainly in terms of the initial recruitment and squad composition. To have gone a year where the coach was under review without a full-time GM/DoR to manage the squad long term was criminal.

    Waratahs 2025

Fantastic planning from the tahs, over stock on in between players covering 6/8/lock and then lose 70% of them in the space of two seasons, keeping only the guys with the least time with the team. Key lineout forwards are pretty unlikely to have played together at this stage, particularly...

Super Rugby Final 2024. Blues v Chiefs, June 22.

Great analysis. The only issue I have with it goes back to rugbypass' stats, which as near as I can tell are any metres made after the first tackle is attempted, so a fullback who has stepped and slipped through a reaching tackle on the return can rack up 50 post contact metres in a single run...

Quade wouldn't stir the pot like that would he?

    Wallabies 2024

I doubt we'll see a rush defence with the coaching staff we have, it's not really the way any of them have run their teams/defence in the past.

Blues v Brumbies SF Fri June 14 2024

KFC bribes are much more effective in QLD thanks to they superior menu offering with Hot and Spicy available year round at almost all stores.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby

Yeah, leaving a few at home to build some depth is ok, but players need experience playing and touring together, particularly for world cups. The six nations can't prepare teams for that sort of extended time away.

    Waratahs 2025

Gilmore confirmed gone, headed to Harlequins: https://x.com/kinson88/status/1801162955435962610?t=reSVqpQeeMIaxl8CicpbzA&s=19

    Aussie Player Exodus

Added benefit for Carter, if he goes well it'll be the second coming of Ronnie Bass, quarterbacking the Titans to the promised land Massive cult hero potential right there.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Anderson will be gone before Wright, but as mentioned above squad size and salary cap won't be an issue for the next few years while the rebels players are being absorbed.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby

Super rugby could've played 50 rounds and the tahs would've still been stuck on 2 wins, with Al Baxter and this years Joey's 2nd XV loose head packing down in the front row by the end of it.

    Wallabies 2024

And the rebels group largely focused on there next moves you'd think. I think that is probably more likely to be the focus of the news cycle over the next week or two.
