    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

This is what all of us Ian Foster detractors have feared since he got the job….FML IRELAND TOO GOOD…well done

    Thats a RED!

I ws a big Akira fan but he was pretty disappointing last year particularly when we needed someone to step up eg. against South Africa.

It seems like Scott Barrett is now our best 6.

    Refereeing decisions

Yep....Barret incident should have been a red.

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

This is a great episode. For those of us - including myself - who have questioned the wisdom of S Barret at 6, Sam Cane at 7 etc...it's good to hear voices of guys who have far better knowledge...

    Refereeing decisions

There's no way the Carbery one should have been a YC and penalty try. This is just getting ridiculous. And Nigel owens agrees - he talks about this tackle from about 3:30. This guy was considered the best ref rugby had for a while and if he's apparently getting it wrong after reviewing the...

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

These videos show bad reads and poor one-on-one tackles more than anything. I'm not saying that the AB defence is working at its best but to say the ABs defended poorly is just rubbish. The very fact that Ireland has struggled to score tries against it is proof of that. A good scramble...

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

And how many did they score when they were up a man or 2 two over the ABs? I didn't say you called the defence shit...I said that if holding the best attacking team in 6N to 2 tries while being short a man for large parts of the game is what you'd define as 'not very good', I'd hate to see what...

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

So somehow, despite Ireland being the top try scoring team in the 6N with 'great variation or deception' on attack and NZ being so poor at defence, the Irish could only muster 1 try in the 65-odd minutes of rugby after the ABs first yellow card? If that's what you call 'not very good' defence...

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

I'd keep Ioane at 13 - he was huge in Test 1 and didn't get a lot of chances in Test 2. Aki has hardly played - did he even take the field in the first Test? I'd still take him over Tupaea though sooooo... No way I'd take Sexton over BB.

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

My point was that the Irish weren't playing with great variation or deception. And while the BB try was fortuitous, it was also scored after 10 phases of rugby where the ABs were putting huge pressure on Ireland. The reality is that at Test level rugby against Top Tier 1 opposition, teams will...

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

I don't think there has ever been a ref you've been happy with - unless your team wins. And even then, your team usually wins despite him...:D:D

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

I think this is a bit revisionist. Last week was a big win by any assessment. The ABs scored 6 tries to the Irish's 3 tries despite the Irish having more possession and territory. Yes, the intercept try was opportunistic but it still came from good AB defence and pressure - a strong point of...

Why does it matter? If the prop can’t scrum, it really is pointless…
  16. Bullrush

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

If you’re gonna go uncontested scrums, do you have to send anyone at all? There was absolutely no point in bringing on Ross.

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

Huge mistake by the AB management in losing Ardie….

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

Hard to argue with the results and as long as the ABs keep winning, Fossie shuts up all of us critics LOL

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

Yeah….that’s a fair point. I think he is a 7 and even at 8, plays more like a 7 but is forced to 8 because Cane is captain. I'd like to see him with at his best position (IMHO) and see someone who is an 8, play at 8.
