If the ref was on the take, he’s doing his best to be found out. It would have been much easier to not call the first ‘Holding the ball’ penalty or just penalise the Wallabies.

One of my pet peeves is watching guys get tackled and get back up and run again without releasing the ball because they weren't 'held'. If the tackler has to release immediately, the ball carrier needs to also release the ball at that same time.
