Wales v Barbarians Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

I looked it up just then It is by invitation of the Committee of which there are 10 members, including ex players. Rory Best is currently one of them.

I actually like Goog and think his game analysis shows good insight and a fresh take on the usual "need to play in their half" stuff we get from certain ex-players I'm hoping we get some of that thinking in this report. However, with The Flubber pulling the strings, I'm certain what we'll...

Will be good to have centres who can run a nice line then, and run it well. I'd put Perese in that camp, with leg speed and some evasion

Joseph Sua'alli has entered the chat. :)

The '2nd Five' or the "Direct Runner' argument gets made depending on who one has on your team at any particular time. I'm pretty sure I've argued passionately for both over the years. I'm not above arguing for left or right-side players (like league) if the situation calls for it :)

    Shute Shield 2024

The Rats cohort that has been so dominant through juniors and recently Colts, will be making it's way into grade this year. I expect we'll see some of them popping up in 2nd grade at least

    Good call. I'll pay that

Ned Slack-Smith is going to be an interesting addition A ’footballer’ rather than a thumper. Has beautiful hands and I hope we get the most out of him. Australia hasn’t traditionally done well with those Parisse-style backrowers.

I’d be interested to know (by the way) if anyone can recall another sporting example of a ‘going for youth’ strategy has paid off in the short term? (and no, The Mighty Ducks doesn’t count) It’s a rebuilding strategy, not a short term strategy. IMO it was a gross dereliction of duty for RA...

If he’d stuck with the regular team and we’d gone out meekly, then many fans would’ve shrugged their shoulders and said, “well, there’s always next time”. But Eddie doubled down on his gamble by calling everyone out..before, during and after his experiment failed. We were all clowns and he...

The real fallout of this whole last 9 months is McClennan’s reputation he’s gone from ‘The Hammer’, destroyer of NZRU and NRL, to ‘The Flubber’, and sadly taken our hopes with him.

Remind me who picks the BaaBaas team? It’s their committee, or someone else?

$10 says he keeps Hooper on the bench for 75 minutes.

I especially liked the bit where she said Eddie had “improved the winning spirit of the Wallabies…”. I mean, she wrote that for the lulz, presumably

You’ve got to wonder how many seasons Slipper has left in him.

To be fair to the Brumbies, RA coming along and asking you if you’d like to hand over the keys to them must make one feel like Kerry Packer when asked why he didn’t pay more tax.

FWIW, I don’t expect (or want) the Wallaby coach to ‘fix’ Australian rugby, or even be responsible for it. I just want a coach who will: a) get the best out of the available, pickable talent b) help us win the games we should win without expecting to get us a No.1 ranking (I’d like to be...

I re-read the Fitz interview again, but it didn’t get any better the second time. The comments about Hooper are particularly hurtful and wrong. This is a bloke who has been busting his guts for his team for years, sometimes solo. If Eddie says he only wanted people who are ‘obsessed with...
