Let's be optimistic here... It's getting closer to the point where the whole thing comes crashing down. Then we can start again.

Just reading in the SMH that the Chairman allowed Castle to go on the 7:30 Program knowing full well the Board had decided to let her go and after Castle asked for assurance that she'd be right to go and there was nothing she needed to know...

Perhaps we're talking at cross-purposes. My comment was related to your suggestion that Harrison was taking direction from 'Kafer crew', rather than from his own obligations and duty as part of RUPA.

Not advocating anyone go around any paywalls or anything... But if you clear your browser cache, these things have a way of resolving themselves.

Yes It seems there's a radio constituency for almost any peculiar set of views and personality. Another example, how does Kyle Sandilands make millions? He's an intellectual oaf (in my opinion).

Like most others, I am, however, somewhat less sanguine when it comes to Jones I think he's got plenty of money. Being 'relevant' and 'sought out' is probably more his drug of choice. Being contrarian gets you noticed. Makes you relevant when maybe you wouldn't be otherwise. Hands up who...

With respect, I think that's a bit harsh on Harrison. He's a very bright guy tasked with representing his membership in pay talks with their employer. As a consequence, there arises a natural conflict between the parties that's no-one's 'fault' and can be described more fairly than by...

    World Rugby Chairman

You'd assume that the NH would vote against anything that might raid the 6N (or other comp) goldmine. The SH votes for Pichot for the opposite reason The rest..neutral From wiki 'In total, Europe has 22 votes; Oceania 10 votes; South America 6 votes; Africa 5 votes; North America 4 votes and...

I don't think you can say that I know at least a couple of insiders who want him. But that wasn't the point of my post. Instead, it was to consider a suitable successor at some point in the future.

OK, so we're a bit 'torn' over whether Kearnsey should be CEO, so.. Let's throw up some alternatives, for discussion, like... I'll not include the incumbent (since this is hypothetical) and I'll stick to 'specialist sports administrators' for ease, but feel free to add others. Gillon...

Home of running rugby, dontcha know. Spiro told me so. Well not so much recently of course... More like 'Home of stockpiling star Colts in the hope of being the home of running rugby again' (Bit of a mouthful admittedly, not as snappy etc) :)

He was a reasonably successful sales guy at a recruiter. Then (a bit later) set up his own business which he sold for good money. Almost everyone locally has a good word to say about him.

I hear Papahatzis is at a loose end? Could be a killer combo.

:) Just watched a great movie by the way. 'Knives Out' with Daniel Craig. Can recommend it! Kearnsy built up a financial planning business and sold it a few years ago for $25m or so. Compelling?

No, but he's excellent at financial planning. Could be useful right now, no? Amirite? :)

I'm not a fan of Kearns generally (as a commentator) but he has been very successful in his private business life and so he's probably more qualified than most.

I realise my post might be a bit controversial, but I can assure you my sauces are impeccable :)
