    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

The issue isn't that pubs can't afford Stan or don't know how to get it. It's that they don't value it enough to get it.

Having no NRC is better how?

I agee wholeheartedly. We need Rugby AU and NZR to go ALL IN on Super Rugby to improve the commerciality of it. More rounds (minimum additional 6 weeks, even if there are fixtures with International players missing) will allow clubs to generate greater revenue through partnerships, memberships...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

In an ideal world, you could find a solution where you are on Fox/Kayo and a FTA network like many of the other sports. EG 1/2 games per week on 7/9/10 and the rest exclusive to Fox/Kayo. Stan Sport is a barrier as it is not in-venue at the majority of pubs, and casual fans are not watching as...

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

That's literally his job, to break stories. He's not paid by his employer to do the right thing for Australian Rugby

    Australian Rugby / RA

"ACT Brumbies chairman Matt Nobbs says the club is railing against centralisation to "fight for Canberra", slamming the lack of detail in the plan as unacceptable and a likely top-down approach as madness."

    Rugby World Cup 2023

I have noticed half a dozen people wearing Wallabies jerseys (out of context, just during the day etc) in last week

Best mates with Jack Maddocks, wonder if this sees them both land somewhere?

RWC 2023 - All Blacks pool matches

I cannot fathom how they pick Christie ahead of Roigard (or Weber for that matter)

    Rugby 7s general chat

If the Roosters aren't in Premiership contention mid-year, can still foresee a scenario where Sua'alii goes to Paris 2024

    Best Number of Subtitutes Pole

i like the football style, happy for a bench of 8 or 9 but limit subs to 5 or 6. Front row subsitution or independent doctor HIA fail only exception in case of serious injury, otherwise bad luck you're a man. Would help with the collision aspect and would need coaches to be more adept tactically

Having no NRC is better how?

Would only further drive a wedge between the haves and the have-nots in the QPR and Shute Shield. It would be so attractive to transfer to a team who qualify for the 3rd Tier competition regardless of happiness at your own club. Also, what about those contracted players, rising stars, or those...

    NZ Domestic comps

I actually wonder if there is a potential solution here which incorporates our lack of a 3rd tier in AU. I don't know what that is - it could be Aussie teams sending players over and covering their wages, or it could be incorporating the Australian Super 'B' teams as follows: Premiership...

How big is their squad? I can't keep up with it!

    Wallabies 2023

Really interested to see how Pasitoa goes. In Gordon, Lynagh, HMP, Bowen, Lolesio, Pasitoa & Donaldson, what we can be certain of is that there'll be no need to talk about picking Quade or Bernard or JOC (James O'Connor) or Hodge or To'omua in 2024.

    Wallabies 2023

Was thinking about our age profile and it made me think of what a 25-or-younger 33 man squad would look like - based on what we've seen of them so far. Plenty of green shoots but as always the challenge is, how do we keep them and how do we coach them well enough to get 20-30% better across the...
