    Wallabies 2024

Starting to get enough data to see what the game plan is (at least quantitatively). Schmidt has us playing with the ball a lot - more than the other teams. And he has Lolesio doing a lot more playmaking at 10 than the other coaches have their 10s doing (at least the starters).

    All Blacks Non-Bledisloe Matches 2024

Who'd be a ref? I think there are are probably 10 collisions like this a match. If no injury, it wouldn't be commented on. However there was an injury and now we try and fit grey into a world of black and white. I think it's probably an indirect impact (Kolisi's head whiplashes forward after...

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I actually don't think it's him. I did some poor googling and assumed the rugby pass player profile was also his journo profile.

Single worst play of the day award goes to Nick Frost at 65:30 for looking out the right at the crowd while the Argentinian strolled straight past him on the left for what would have been the match winning try

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I don't have a problem with that one. For me that was all the same maul, just all the Australian players fell away from it. Play on, and well worked try (And back to the drawing board for the coach)

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Apparently the pundit is none other than former-All Black Ben Smith

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Rugby pass pundit gave Lolesio an 8. There does appear to be a lot of people who rate Lolesio's play a lot higher than your average greenandgolder (Not he least being Schmidt himself)

    Wallabies 2024

Maybe Cadeyrn Neville? 33 years old on debut for the Wallabies, so probably played more seasons, but wouldn't have been as consistent a player as Stewart?

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Doran on his podcast today said he spoke to Schmidt for 10 to 15 minutes after the game. He said Schmidt was pretty satisfied with how Lolesio went, and Schmidt responded to questions about some of Lolesio's play, that he was pleased to see him try a few things even if they didn't come off.

Everyone complaining that our forward runners are going backwards in the pouring rain see the issue with complaining about Lolesio's ability to create something?

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Maul defence. Again. This is getting to the point where the assistant coach needs to consider his position

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Sure it did. Several of those famous 40+ phases went backwards, until they didn't.

Must be windy up there. The camera work is giving me seasickness

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) kicks us off with a poor knock on and then Wright slices the clearing kick. Sigh.

Bit early to hoist the traditional rugby au white flag at the anthems

Rain. Australian kryptonite. Argies by 14. Really wouldn't mind a dry test match one day.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby

Brett's issue will be his suggestions for the things he wants to see changed will be automatically opposed by many in the game purely because of the accent of the person suggesting the change

    Wallabies 2024

Sure there are differences, but the starting point is the same - Full control with pro teams reporting up to RA, not the current state where the RA board reports to the Super Rugby teams.

    Wallabies 2024

Nucifora would be ideal if we could get the states to vote themselves out of existence, and then Nucifora could roll out his centralised model. It's not where we are. As per usual it's a bit of a muddled compromise at the moment. We need someone who can deal with that and make the best of it...
