    Round 7: Reds v Brumbies - Friday April 7 @ Suncorp 7:35pm

Ankle breaker from Tate. Such a satisfying feeling to turn a defender around before you even get to them.
  2. Sword of Justice

    Round 7: Reds v Brumbies - Friday April 7 @ Suncorp 7:35pm

I should say I would be fully supportive of it as a Reds fan actually.
  3. Sword of Justice

    Round 7: Reds v Brumbies - Friday April 7 @ Suncorp 7:35pm

That's awful from Blyth. So reckless and given what we know about concussions I wouldn't be at all shocked to see a ban.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby

Taking that at face value it is a pretty asinine thing to demand. You'd think any top coach could put into words some strategies to defeat top teams but actually coaching those results is harder. Scotland has a relatively ok history at recent world cups compared to Ireland but even QFs would be...

    Wallabies 2023

That is a good point, there is a sabbatical as part of his deal though that may have required the 4 year commitment.
  6. Sword of Justice

    Wallabies 2023

Regardless of a top up I would sign until 2027 given the calendars if I was Tate. As a starting Super player that is already capped he's never more than 2 injuries away from the Wallabies realistically. I'm not seeing anything to suggest that there is a top up and I do worry for him that he...
  7. Sword of Justice

    Wallabies 2023

I'd hope so but how many players in each position could possibly be so as to not dilute the money pool?
  8. Sword of Justice

    Wallabies 2023

I agree they should, but I don't read into the marketing that this means he is or isn't favoured by Jones which was the crux of my reply to Ghost, perhaps clumsily worded as to not be clear. The RA release doesn't mention top up at all but does mention that McDermott has signed on with...
  9. Sword of Justice

    Wallabies 2023

Previously an RA/Wallabies announcement of a re-signing more than likely indicated a RA top-up but there's been quite a few of these announcements over the last year and so now I'm not so sure. I'd obviously love him to be 1 or 2 on the pecking order but he may not be the type of player Jones...

    Round 7: Reds v Brumbies - Friday April 7 @ Suncorp 7:35pm

I'm also surprised by Smith to the bench. I thought Uru found rock moving at the breakdown quite difficult in the last few weeks, leading him to give away penalties attempting to make life easier. Against the better locks in the competition, of which the Brumbies certainly have a few, I think...

    Round 7: Reds v Brumbies - Friday April 7 @ Suncorp 7:35pm

Jesus that's a strong ACT team. Gotta be Brumbies by 32 at least.
  12. Sword of Justice

    Reds 2023

God I hope so. At present we are fucked. Vunivalu, McReight are signed already but Tupou is gone. If this squad is any indication we will be stumping up a lot to convince 'spine' players to stay. Great for Flook though. It may work as an incentive to implement a coaching team aligned with...
  13. Sword of Justice

    Reds v Crusaders - Round 6

Yes I agree on Thomas, very slow which is a disappointment given I thought he had made big strides in recent years. On the plus side though I thought Tate's pass from the ground was at its best last night. He also ran and passed long well which he hasn't done much of in his career.
  14. Sword of Justice

    Reds v Crusaders - Round 6

This is our highest level of the season but we are still being managed easily by a good team missing a lot of players that hasn't gotten out of second gear.
  15. Sword of Justice

    Wallabies 2023

It's not that unusual for a player to perform for the Wallabies, be quiet in a poor Super team and then perform again for the Wallabies, all in a 12 month period. I would certainly take Foketi in the squad. He looked comfortable at Test level.
  16. Sword of Justice

    Australian Rugby / RA

Kicking with no possibility of a charge down is much easier though. Less time pressure and you can get a little closer. Still, I'd be very interested in having him tested at a super franchise that isn't my favourite one.
  17. Sword of Justice

    Rebels v Reds 25/03 @ AAMI

You are both flogging it but Marce is literally correct that the Rebels have signed a non Wallabies eligible player is he not?
  18. Sword of Justice

    Reds 2023

I have heard second hand that Simmons was appreciated by the props, especially as he got older, but nothing more specific than that. Apparently Sitaleki Timani was like a rocket ship up the cheeks but his lack of impact elsewhere is canon.
  19. Sword of Justice

    Rebels v Reds 25/03 @ AAMI

As a general comment on the state of the game and not to be inferred as pertinent at all to this match: refs love blowing that fucking whistle until they don't.
  20. Sword of Justice

    Rebels v Reds 25/03 @ AAMI

Rebels outsmarted the Reds in gameplay and also in squad development to be frank. Mafi and Tualima looked better than they ever did for us which has to speak to something. Gordon really coming into his own and looks confident. Tuttle finished off the game very well.
