    Wallabies 2023

I’ve watched the Test matches. Which is why I don’t think he’s done anything QC (Quade Cooper) couldn’t/wouldn’t do with a better 9 and a pack that is winning the collision.

    Wallabies 2023

He has been been behind the better Wallaby pack with the better 9. QC (Quade Cooper) was never given the same chance. Gordon certainly didn’t change any Wallaby results this year - even given the advantages he’s had…

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

Having been around youth rugby and league with my son for nearly 10yrs now, I’m in two minds about removing the competition aspects. I like having the competition for the kids. IMO learning how to win and lose is one of the things that makes sport valuable for kids. It’s the parents -...

Do posters here really think that Gordon is that much better than QC (Quade Cooper)? At this stage of his career, he is, at best, as good as QC (Quade Cooper).

So why cite them as examples of ‘sneaky replacement stuff’? There is nothing sneaky about them and therefore nothing to so with what you were talking about.

When you just google something and don't take the time to look at the circumstances of each case, it easy to think something is dodgy. Like your very first example: Nothing 'sneaky' about it at all.

    Wallabies 2023

Yes - but I'm not the one who is saying that. The suggestion previously re: EJ (Eddie Jones) and Jacques Nienaber’s "it looks like two astute coaches tactically leaving out injured guys who could potentially play a part. It’s better to put the “worse/backup” player in the squad first and then replace them...

Were any of those injuries considered fake or part of replacement plan strategy. The onus is on you to show why there would be a need for WR (World Rugby) to have previously thought there was any ‘sneaky replacement stuff’ taking place.

    Wallabies 2023

I can’t think of any team who has gone to a RWC with the intent of using injury replacements as a strategy for winning. Neither can I think of any injury replacements at a RWC that haven’t been considered genuine. If you can provide previous examples of ‘sneaky replacement stuff’ happening that...

    Wallabies 2023

I think you can. There is the 48-hr stand down period and the replaced player cannot come back into the squad but otherwise, I think this is allowed.

    Wallabies 2023

On The Breakdown after Bledisloe II, John Kirwan said this: "What Eddie traditionally does, he very quickly gets rid of the players he doesn't like or trust - no opinion on whether he's right or not - and then very quickly he settles on his leadership group and he plays them and he plays them...

    Wallabies 2023

There is definitely a 48hr stand down period.

Rarely does a coach treat fans with such contempt

So it doesn’t matter who gets injured, Ikitau is in? Porecki goes down, Ikitau is in…

    Wallabies 2023

So when they named this squad, do you think they pulled Foketi aside and said something along the lines of "So we're gonna name you in the squad but only on the condition that if Ikitau pulls through, you will lie to a RWC doctor and fake an injury - or pretend it's worse than it is - so we...

    Wallabies 2023

Who would Gordon be talking to? It's like the Year 9 boys on camp talking about sex...

    Wallabies 2023

I think the RWC has an independent doctor who has to assess them. I don't know if that's true...just something I read somewhere...

    Wallabies 2023

That has nothing to do with Quade and everything to do with EJ (Eddie Jones). Eddie is the one who makes the calls about who plays, who starts and when someone gets hooked. If you're saying that Eddie can't provide the leadership that gives Gordon that confidence or can't effectively communicate to his...

    Wallabies 2023

There are plenty of great rugby players whose teams weren't very successful. Jonah Lomu never won a RWC and he never scored a try against SA. You think his experience adds fuck all? Tana Umaga never won Super Rugby or a RWC. You think his experience adds fuck all? I don't know if it's true but I read...

    Wallabies 2023

So unless he selects an entirely young and inexperienced squad - all 33 players have to be relatively new - then you can't think he isn't focused on the future?
