    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

This has nothing to do with the ABs winning. But yes - one eye open just like EVERY Wallaby game you comment on. For someone who has been watching rugby for 20 years, you didn't know that Scott Barrett was well within his rights to hit McDermott for the first AB try. "Thanks mate. I thought he...

I don’t know kung-fu pretty well….that’s because watching kung-fu or sport for 20yrs doesn’t mean one knows a lot about it - particularly when you only watch with one eye open. If it had been White instead of Smith, you would have already posted about it 137 times by now, claiming it was the...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

No. It’s not bad luck at all. The injuries were unlucky. But stop acting as if all the teams do the same thing but only the Wallabies get caught. Every game you blame the refs and now it’s bad luck as well. If anything, the Wallabies are lucky Valetini didn’t get carded earlier. I’ve been...

Who’s decision was it to keep him on there? Not only was White fucking around with keeping the ball in the scrum with Tupou being injured but exactly how long did Eddie Jones think he was gonna keep going? It’s not just the players who weren’t up to it last nite… TBH - the Wallabies did A LOT...

You keep talking as if yellow cards are just bad luck or outside of the Wallabies control. Getting yellow cards and poor discipline is part of what makes the Wallabies not a good team right now. Fans like you want to pretend and believe that it’s all the refs fault and poor officiating. Every...

    Worst Commentator Pole 2

I liked SBW on the panel - not so much as sideline commentary. One of the most successful footy players of all time - definitely one of the most sought after - and people disregarded his comments cos he said ‘Bro’ too much for their liking

This could get very ugly for the Wallabies…

Wallabies 2023 World Cup Positivity Thread

Living in Canberra with a young fella playing school boy rugby, this has been a huge criticism I have had of the Brumbies. I can count on one hand the number of times any of the Brumbies have been seen at club or school trainings. He had as much opportunity to meet and get up and close with...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Will Genia was the guest on the Aotearoa Rugby Pod this week and he had, what I thought, were some excellent insights and thoughts about the Wallabies. He talked about the 9/10 positions and the differences between White and McDermott. He didn't say it outright but my impression is that he...

It’s not comparing apples to apples though. In Australia, club rugby is the step down from Super Rugby. NZ has the NPC in between club and Super Rugby so NZ rugby players aren’t as likely to go two steps ‘down’ to play club.

It’s neither. It’s just honest analysis of where they think the Wallabies are doing wrong as well as what they can be happy about.

If anyone is interested, watch the second half of the latest Aoteroa Rugby Pod on Stan with James Parsons and Bryn Hall. They spend a couple of minutes giving their thoughts on the Wallabies game and just where the team is in general. I think these guys have great takes on rugby. Oh - Beaden...

2 of the 3 Tests he started last year were against the All Blacks and in both those games, according to the guys on this forum anyway, he was the best Wallaby on the field. Even with 5 missed tackles. And it wasn't just GAGR. Almost every rugby journalist also rated him as the best Wallaby on...

Then play him at 7. Samu probably did more in 2 games, if not as much, than Hooper ever has against the ABs. Apart from Valetini, no other loose forward in that squad has impressed against top tier opposition has like Samu did last year.

Yeah I guess. He is a guy who can potentially win you a game though...

    Wallabies 2023

He got the benefit of the doubt to do what? Sit on the bench again? In the few opportunities he got starting last year - and against one of the best opposition in the All Blacks - he showed what he could do. To not take the best performer you had against the same opposition doesn't make sense to...

    Wallabies 2023

So Pete Samu started just 3 Tests last year including 2 Bledisloe Tests. In the GAGR Player polls, Samu got the top spot for both Bledisloe games and came in 4th overall for the year. Not bad for a guy who apparently just seagulls on the wing....

Man....how Pete Samu is not an automatic selection and starter I really don't know.
