    Waratahs 2024

It's gone beyond angst at this point.

    Waratahs 2024

Yep. 1 from 6 this season. I'm sure he's a good bloke but he's out of his depth at this level. I'm sick of the 'we were this close' bullshit. I've been a Tahs fans through thick (being disappoint) and thin. But enough is enough. Move him on. Sort out the headcase of an org. (which worries me...

    Australian Rugby / RA

A lot of the money for the 7s and women's games comes from the government. Not all mind you but a not insignificant amount. If we cut the funding to both of these programs then the money from the govt. goes with it. The biggest issue with the game here has been and even if we did as this group...

Yeah, I think if this lot get their way and any level of influence over the direction of the game in this country that could be it for me. Some of their opinions don't belong in the modern game. Or the 21st century.

    League Targets

Are you talking about Rugby? Because out my way there's only been the two clubs for decades and whether they can field a team in each of the junior age grades depends year on year.

The Rooster claim they never tabled that offer.

    Round 5: Drua v Waratahs - Saturday 12pm AEDT

Well, at least the girls got a win. 21-62.

JRLO averaging a little under 10k this season. Up 56% on last season so far.

Newcastle seem to be on fairly tenuous ground with rumours of them being relocated and they've come out and said they can't guarantee Canberra's place in the comp. There distribution to clubs has been decreasing season on season. The league won't collapse but Super Rugby isn't the only...

    Proposed Nations Championship

It's only cooperation if it benefits NZ. Surely Japan knew this when signing on.

    Shute Shield 2024

A lot of those high tackles are easily correctable by players applying better technique.

True. But it must be nice to have such a compliant media. One that doesn't constantly talk down the sport.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I'm aware. Up against the Matildas which wasn't helpful considering the draw they've become. I was referring more to the competition for viewers last Saturday which was fairly dire in terms of content. And it still doesn't negate from the premise that getting more games on 9 proper would see...

I watch on Stan as well. Would be good to know what those numbers are as well.

Could be worse. Could be getting A-League numbers. Somehow getting games on the 9 proper would surely bring in more viewers. Enough to probably crack the top 10. Surely.

I think we need to look to do something with Japan in the form of a Cup competition. Either as a pre-season or post-season event. Could even do it as a lead in to the November tours. Or even during.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

One group of 60k viewers for the first game and then a whole new group of 40k for the second.

    Shute Shield 2024

I'd actually like to see it tested out over the course of a full season. Have the Tahs A squad actually enter to compete in the Shute Shield alongside the clubs. Hell, if (more like when) Melbourne are disbanded as a means of keep in the pathway open an Melbourne rep/academy squad could also enter.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

They apparently had 14k from Aus bc and 5k from England fly in for the event. That's a long way for one game. And a ticket covered both games.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

There's no way they broke even. And there's no way they got 40k to the games. The lower bowl of Allegiant seats 28k. Shot from above show plenty of empty seats. They could have taken. All those sitting in the two upper tiers and sat them in the lower tier and still not have filled it. I've seen...
