I'm willing to bet that it will. Certainly when it comes to Tests.

I'd suggest that has a fair bit to do with 1) accessibility and 2) the way Super Rugby is managed by the Unions. The first has been improved with the FTA component but still the bulk of the content is locked away behind a paywall. The 2nd not so much. Super Rugby is still viewed a an extended trial...

One of the biggest gripes about CVC and F1 is the move to PayTV platforms. Which as a Rugby fan is understandable. One of the genius things about it was the Drive to Survive series which introduced millions of new fans. Difference is motor racing is a fan bigger sport than Rugby. And an easier...

    Lol. Not quite.

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 1st April, GIO

Those stats are probably the most frustrating element of the Tahs this season.

Double Bay apparently. I have a mad keen Roosters fan at work who keeps abridged of all things Roosters to the point he knows how their Tasha Gale team is going. That's the U19s Girls comp.

Yep. Should have pinged the Brums for wasting time. Instead gave them as much time as he possibly could.

Well, looks like we'll find out.

Might have something to do with the current FB being the club captain.

He did play Rugby at school. Which many of those young blokes would have.
  11. WorkingClassRugger

    Australian Rugby / RA

Quite possibly. He's a very promising young player.

And from someone's post yesterday apparently this offer is being driven by 3rd party deals etc. So not coming out of RA coffers.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yep. It's why people calling for shortening the current season make no sense to me. Using SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) as our vessel we probably should be looking at making that a double round robin. That would take the number of games from just 84 to 132 plus 7 inbound Tests for a total of 139. Using your breakdown...

    Waratahs 2023

I think Seu certainly looks good and we're getting Miles Amatoseros. We might be close.

    Waratahs 2023

Not going to lie. I'm having some unmentionable thoughts about that potential backline.

The setting of a minimum will at least keep Rugby competitive in terms of the Top 35 for now. And by now I mean up until 2027 when it jumps to $50k a season. Beyond that.

    Waratahs 2023

There seems to be a lack of urgency. A good example was the maul early in the game that splintered. Five forwards remained locked in even after the ref had blown his whistle with play 5m away. There's no way the back two didn't feel it splinter or the lineout jumper not see it and yet none of...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

I watched the Atlanta/San Diego game this morning. Certainly more enjoyable than watching the Tahs at the moment.

Round 4: Hurricanes v Waratahs, Friday 17th March

I'm definitely not writing him off. It just doesn't appear that his head or heart is in it at the moment. I think whatever the root issue that saw him take leave last year has had a significant impact on his personal being that is still having an impact. If that is the case I would prefer him to...

Round 4: Hurricanes v Waratahs, Friday 17th March

He just doesn't seem like his head or heart is in it at the moment. At least that's how it looks from a fan perspective.
