I assume you mean Wilson but in playing style Gleeson is most similiar to Valetini. Also, replacing Wilson leaves you with only 2 jumpers. Personally I think Gleeson is unlikely for the bench - I’d guess Hooper or Williams will be preferred but I can see merit in letting Valetini go hard for 60...

Not everyone is a good captain either. Not saying Valetini wouldn’t be - I have no idea. But being a good player and a good captain aren’t the same thing.

Personally I think this is great reward for a guy who was twice overlooked by test coaches but at no point has thrown his toys out of the cot or given up on his ambition to play for the Wallabies. Pleased to see his perseverance rewarded.
