That's good to hear PB, good club culture always leads to a strong club. The off field facilities outside Wagga really highlight how dated CRP is doesn't it.

I hope the Blacks do well, strong teams outside Wagga always adds to the competition.

What's the wrap up from the trials around the grounds peeps? I chatted to a few guys from City on Saturday night who were looking forward to playing Albury this weekend. Hopefully all teams made it through the weekend injury free?

I'd be surprised if there wasn't mate.

I agree. It makes no sense to split clubs. Keeping all those grades at the same venue needs to be a priority. No doubt there are other factors that influence the draw. Hopefully it's a good season of footy for all the clubs and we can get back to some level of normality in 2021.

The draw will never be perfect, particularly not with so many different team make ups. It'll be interesting to see how the season plays out in the second round for those clubs outside the Citadel. From what I saw, the Wagga clubs get the majority of their "travel" put of the way in the first...

You can't create a draw without having all the club nominations sorted - and we know that's been a dog's breakfast from the club's perspective. From what I hear, the Club Presidents got a run down on the draw this week to update them on what's doing.

Are we still talking about clubs paying players?

Thanks for playing along, it certainly brought the lurkers out of the woodwork!!! ;) Good on him, it's a great opportunity for him and I hope he makes a success of it. Noa is a fit, skilful footballer and appears to be one of the guys who is genuinely working hard on himself. There is a...

There's devil in the detail there from the guys I speak to. Good on him if it's true. From what I hear, it's a chance outside the region.

In other news, I hear that Noa Rabici will be wearing blue this year.

I think what you'll see happen with the draw will be something similar to 2019 where there were "City" and "Country" themed rounds. I forget what the actual match ups were, but the aim was to generate some "rivalries" over the course of the season. There are probably draft draws in circulation...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2021

It's an interesting point and doesn't really make much sense to me. The theory from the club being that their skills are not where they need to be to play 2nd Grade, but the reality is that the visiting club will send a mix of 2nd and 3rd Grade players. For me, there should be a top down...

Always happy to chat about this stuff - and good points there already fellas :) By my maths, that's roughly 15 games per week to cover, it might end up being something like 12 games, depending on the draw. Regardless, that's significantly more than the amount of active, accredited referees...

I've hot nought on the CW decision... But I've heard a few doozies on the Coaching merry-go-round. One from Green to Blue and another from Blue to Green, Red seem to be pretty solid in their structures to date and I assume the Blue and White fellas will maintain the status quo. I don't have...

I don't think anyone in CW will care too much about which franchise they are aligned to, the tyranny of distance works against both the Brumbies and the Horrortahs in NSW - particularly regional NSW. I reckon the sticking point will be what happens with NSW Country and how/what impact that has...
