    Queensland Reds 2025

That discipline/accuracy is something he's really struggled with making the step up. Needs a lot more game time at this level to bridge the gap I think.

Should've brought back the guys from the Tonga game.

Interesting to hear the "Clear access" call to clear the area in front of kick receipt, same as during the England vs NZ game this weekend. Expect we'll be seeing a lot of this on the EOYT

I don't know about that, can probably afford to stroll when he's a year ahead of everyone else

There has been a bit of a mistake on here that he's slow - they don't call him Tommy Turbo for nothing! I think it's been the hammies holding him back a bit this year, pace was very much on show against the canes in round 1 2023

For those without a VPN the Reds are looking into it:

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Tim Sampson? He's with the Drua https://www.rugby.com.au/news/former-rebels-assistant-force-coach-sampson-links-up-with-fijian-drua-202486 Thorn is currently with BBC (high school in Brisbane) but I think only listed as an assistant so I can't see it being any barrier to taking the job. He'd be...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

It does complicate the issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if he had some sort of out in his contract for something of this level, the same way pro team coaches do for test coaching jobs. Brad Harris, the rebels former defence coach might be another possibility here - he doesn't seem to have...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

And that may free things up to move forward here if it's locked in, but given Zak Beer was touted as a candidate for that role as he has been for this one, there's a good chance that the 7s process was in some way blocking the under 20s one. That trio passed over for the 7s role does make a...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Not sure there has been much movement here yet, I have a feeling it might all be tied up in the 7s coaching appointment process as there is some crossover in the candidates.

And the Brumbies do exactly what I was talking about and strike quickly from play starting deep in their half to take the lead. Real clash of styles in this game making it very interesting.

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Brilliant kick off work from the Reds here, make an absolute mess of the Brumbies attempts to receive and then leaning on the strength of there set piece. Brumbies attack very incisive when they get the ball and is keeping them very much in this game despite QLD looking dominant and having the...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Oh and fully agree and think in an ideal world we'd cast a wider net younger and narrow as we get older (to account for development differences, attrition to other sports, vagaries of talent id, etc.), I just can't see them getting there right now. There is also a consideration that the pathways...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

I think part of the problem is that whatever happens in the 16s right now needs to match the 19s from a logistical stand point and the 19s are always going to drive the decisions there. I'm not sure the money exists to be running extra teams and rounds for the 16s that diverge from that 19s...

    Wallabies 2024

Foketi is serving a ban at the moment. Feliuai is the most likely call up from outside given he has been in the squad already this year, but that assumes the "family reasons" that saw him miss out is something like the birth of a child that is only a temporary block.

    Wallabies 2024

That's certainly the most likely outcome, but it probably depends on whether or not Paisami will be fit to join the squad, given they weren't pulling anyone in to cover him while his kid was being born. They might wait until after the first test/Aus xv game to decide

    Wallabies 2024

On-top of missing the first test for the birth of his child it looks like Paisami has picked up a calf injury. Unclear if he will still join the squad later. Troubling number of calf injuries lately, but I guess it's better than Achilles ones.
