RWC 2011 - Odd shaped balls

How does this work? A Samoan gets $10000 fine for wearing the wrong mouthguard. Our Ladies Team gets fined $10000 for advancing on the NZWRT haka. The English players and team officials conspire to cheat and only two of the three are not allowed to watch a game. The other who MUST have been...

That makes sense. Didn't really think it was The Sheep F%^$ers but couldn't think of anything else. I assume TSF is similar to G&GR. Must have a snoop over there one day. Between Rugby Heaven, Green and Gold Rugby, and Facebook and a couple of music related blogs I watch, I am flat out...

RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

And IMHO about 30 of those were passed his use by date. An awesome Wallaby thoroughly deserving of 100 caps and some, but the longer he stayed around, the more he it became obvious that he should have retired. Neil Young got it right .... "Better to burn out than to rust away"

    Sydney Colts 2011

What happens when 4 or 5 good mates have the shits with their current club for whatever reason, and decide to move en masse to another club, perhaps even the "perennial easybeats" so they could get a gig at First Grade, rather than 3rds if they stayed at the old club. Under this rule it would...

Pardon my ignorance but what is TSF where everyone is supposed to go to? Is it The Sheep F^*^^&ers? Pretty rude if it is.

Barnes was good to the Saffers in the Wales game. Maybe he was trying to even the ledger. Do not rate Barnes or Owens for the Final or Semis as Ref or AR.

RWC 2011 - Bitch, moan and discuss - Referees and Law Discussions

Referee is the sole judge of time and fact, but why the fact did Owens get in the way?

RWC 2011 - Bitch, moan and discuss - Referees and Law Discussions

Referee Owens blew Oranges in the Saffer vs Samoa when the ball touched him. It touched him cause he appeared to be in the wrong place. The Samoans were deep on attack with momentum in their favour when the Referee got in the way of yet another promising attack from the Samoans. Time was past...

Gaggerland Rugby World Cup Media Performance and Awards

I vote for Growden for the Motorbike Ashtray award. He makes FitzSimons look like a Pulitzer Prize winner in comparison. Nobody's articles are awesome. He is best of a bad bunch and wins my vote for Best Print Correspondent (Australian). Don't read too many of the overseas journos, but most...

    Ewen McKenzie Q & A - Top 10 Questions

Link, you grew up in Victoria, have played in NSW, and coached in NSW, overseas and QLD. In many sports Queenslanders punch well above their weight. Have you been able to identify that Queensland gene, the thing with Queenslanders that sets them apart from NSW and Victorians? Does it exist...

    Sydney Colts 2011

Some one at the club tonight said that for 2012 anyone playing more than two games for Grade or Subbies Grade would be ruled out for Sydney Colts finals games in 2012. This person is usually reliable with their rumours, but this one sounds "interesting". Can anyone verify or confirm this rumour?

Only saw 2nd half and the last couple of minutes of 1st half. Usually do not comment on ref performance, but Saffers must count themselves very lucky. With an ounce of luck to their opponents and a different referee in this game they may be on the plane home now with Samoa and Wales...

The Scariest War Dances - Pre Match Rituals

This article from a local throwaway magazine amused me. Can you imagine the Paddy's lining up to respond to the Haka with a Riverdance, or the Poms bringing out a Maypole to dance around? http://thebeast.com.au/sport/who-needs-a-world-cup-war-dance/

Wallabies vs Russia - last game before the QFs!

The Ruskis may not have many points on the scoreboard but they have been hitting bloody hard and they play for keeps. We have to be careful not to risk any more injuries from then.

    RWC - New Zealand v France - 24th September

How good is the French Singing? The RWC organisers may have banned the bagpipes, but they can not ban passion and the voice.
