    Winter Tours Tipping

I'd prefer to call it tipping by the Head as opposed to the Heart. Traitor Schmator. Go the realists! Scarfies Hail Mary Tip against the Wobs not only gained him a strategic advantage of 1 tip lead over all the rest of us, it was also correct. Very strategic thinking. Same for Waratah J's...

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

The Bokke were luckly to get away with it last night. Welsh played out of their skin. Bokke very ordinary in first 40 minutes. Passion seemed to be missing.

    Gnostic's Player Ratings V England

Can't recall AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) making a pass last night. Back to his usual ball hogging. One of the better backs on defence though.

    All Blacks EOYT

"draw and pass", or "offloading" doesn't matter, SBW is carving them up on offence. Can't see Nonu getting a start soon. SBW needs all the Test exposure he can get to be ready for RWC 2011.

'spose that qualifies Link as an educated Front Rower. To add to the list is Richard Loe and Sean Fitzpatrick from NZ.

    Australian Troubadour XV

At best this would be an "on paper" academic exercise, like the Old Boys XV vs 1st XV games.

Didn't know about Link's efforts in this regard. Does he write for the Courier Mail? Don't forget our mates Kearns and Buddha in your list of Fatty commentators.

Wales vs Australia, EOYT 2010, Millenium Stadium

Welsh will be far too good in the Scrums and their Attack phases. It will be a massacre for the Coal Miners. Wales by 18 points.

Bledisloe IV - Hong Kong - Pick The Score

Agree that Carter is a potential weak link for the All Blacks. If he goes off early due to injury or precautions, or is not 100% on his game then there is a glimmer of hope for the Wobs. Otherwise with a fit Carter, the AB's will probably have too much in the tank for us. AB's by 5-10. While...

    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

By general agreement, I mean that most seem to think Deans has settled on his 1-12 and 15 run on positions. The most contentions position seems to be #12. Gits seems to be unable to be dropped at 12 and the John Eales medal count seems to reinforce Gits mortgage in the run on squad.

    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

Seems to be general agreement on positions 1-12 (less 11). Plenty of discussion on 11, 13, and 14. Think Gilbert Beale now owns #15. I like Mitchell, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and JOC (James O'Connor) to start with Turner as fresh legs on the bench. Barnes to cover the rest of the Back positions from the bench.

Bledisloe IV - Hong Kong - Pick The Score

Can pick the "Heart" vote now, but can not pick the "Head" vote until both teams are announced. My heart says Wobs by 2. Heart predicts Gilbert doing another Blomfontein PK after the siren. Priceless. Head vote revolves around who is chosen as the run ons as the New Zealand Rugby Team #10...

NZ Provincial Rugby - ITM Cup

my addition was entirely tongue in cheek. I know the lighthouse keeper over there. He has already been given the task of switching the lights out and on as the case may be. seriously it seems that way with the amount of saffers and kiwis you see at the rugby ovals over here. The key point...

It is all OK as long as there are a couple of electricians left to turn the lights off.

NZ Provincial Rugby - ITM Cup

Watching Hawkes Bay vs North Harbour at Napier. Gee the ovals in ITM cup all look in pristine condition. Good sign for RWC11. There are a couple of games scheduled at Napier.

    Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s

We are up against Kenya in 1/4 final after they upset Samoa. Best outcome for us I think. Boys look a bit vulnerable in defence.
