See, this is one of the reasons this has been such a clusterfuck. This private ownership with restrictions. Cox should be allowed to hire whoever the hell he wants but also shouldn't be subsidised to the same level as the non private teams, if at all.

Get him to chip his own money in and let him use it how he wants and if it doesn't work out, then it isn't the ARU's problem to fix it.

You're right, if you give the keys of a car to your kids and tell them to have fun, is it really the kids fault if they bring it back scratched, dented, dirty and out of fuel?

ARU board were too stupid to know better, how could they when everyone in their clique were also on the board and paying each other's wages. As far as they're aware, they're all doing a good job.
