World Rugby U20 Championship 2019

Agree again Bobby Sands, Noah Lolesio runs those lines very well, in every game so far and Harry Wilson runs them well as well:).

Still cannot believe our Mighty Reds missed out on signing Noah before the Brumbies did.

Wasn't there big cudos on Harris over Wilson earlier in the cup, did Wilson take his spot after some performances ?

Bloody hell if there is a failing in age grade talent ID, there it is. Barely a journeyman, and hardly even shined at club level.

Lol that's a bit rough. He's played 22 times for the states, will be going to the RWC this year and has had a mediocre career in Europe with Glasgow, Bordeaux and just signed for Newcastle. Not fantastic but more than can be said for a lot of former u20 players

From the Junior World Cup website:

Lachlan Lonergan (Australia)
Australia hooker Lachlan Lonergan will appear at a hearing before an independent World Rugby Disciplinary Committee chaired by Roger Morris (Wales) along with Leon Lloyd (former England player) and Ofisa Tonu’u (former Samoa and New Zealand player and Samoa U20 coach) in Rosario on 19 June, 2019 having been cited by Citing Commissioner Rafael Bianchi (Uruguay) for striking Argentina number eight Juan Bautista Pedemonte with the shoulder in breach of Law 9.12 in their match at the World Rugby U20 Championship in Rosario, Argentina, on 17 June, 2019.
The judicial decision will be published here when available.

When he was at the 'Tahs he sat behind Vickermann, Timani, Douglas and Mumm at various times. That was his impetus for leaving.

I spoke to him two weeks ago - he would say his career is going just fine. He is being paid to play rugby :)

This is a big worry. We'd be going into the final with only one specialist hooker and halfback then. Hopefully one or both of them manages to get off somehow.

Also, it's pretty crushing for both players who would have started the final and instead are set to miss out.

Lonergan is a massive blow. His back up wasn't sensational in the England game.

I hadn't seen much in Lonergan until that semi final. His running game in tight was so dynamic. Big step down if hes not available, but I will back the squad to fill the gap if needed. Cotton or Rhys Van Nek to step up.

good point. We have two spare hookers over there don't we?

So the incident happened about 90 secs in so we were probably lucky not to be playing the entire game one man down again.

Anyone know where full match replays are? Would be interested to see the tackle.

I just re-watched it on Kayo. He tackles someone exactly 90 seconds in, so I imagine that's what they're referring to. But it doesn't look like there's anything in it and no one reacts or says anything. I'll try and work out to screen record...
