If I am not mistaken that doesn't effect the Reds too badly. They still need to win, and if they do they will qualify ahead of the Hurricanes based on win/loss ration. As long as one of two other results go their way that is. Can someone confirm this?

I've got to say that was probably a try but there is no way the tmo should have awarded it.

Yeah they'll be ahead of the Canes if they get a 4 point win as they've more wins over the season.

If the Reds win (regardless of bp or not) they'll overtake the 'Canes on more games won.......

Absolutely agree with Sully, gut feeling was a try was scored. However I couldn't see anything on the replays from various angles that showed the ball being grounded on or over the line.

The best camera angle was the one that was head on from behind the try line but Kaplan just happened to be standing in a position that obscured the view of the ball.

It was a tough decision to make and I wondered why Kaplan didn't make a different call as he was in a great spot.
I hope he didn't cop out.
When he went to the TMO I expected him to say "Is there any reason why I can't award this try" rather then "Try or No try please"

You try way to hard to blame Kaplan. :( The Chiefs can only blame themself.

Anyone else think they need to change the rule so that a game can't end on a held up?
I think they should of played on and went back if play stopped. Stopping play for a TMO decision is the wrong thing to do unless there is a natural stoppage.

The only issue with Kaplan was he didn't really try and get down low to get the best view for himself. He couldn't call it.

But the chiefs certainly choked that game.

No way any ref would make that brave call these days. They will all go to the TMO. If you lot want to blame someone, he had everything to his exposure to make the right call. Anyway ref blaming is a sickness these days and the commentators is to much to blame for this habit.
