I think the problem with this is that they aren't getting professional training every week. They can't train together as they aren't in the same location. I think guys packing down during the week in a super squad and then playing club on the weekend are far better prepared.The players each franchise would make available aren't going to be a whole lot better than the best of clubland.
A great example is Matt Faessler who was picked by the Reds out of the COVID bubble club players. He's now the starting Wallabies hooker and wasn't even in a Super Rugby squad when he made his debut for the Reds.
