Well, big-arse :))), when I saw him at the trial match, he was pretty f'ing huge. He may not be quite 115, but I doubt he's much under it. He is a different animal to last year.
Sorry about the big-arse comment, Scotty, but you did set it up!

Ha. I knew it would come when I first typed that, just not so quickly!

Have a look at him next to Simmons. I find it difficult to see how he could be the same weight.

And, yes I know he put on a lot of weight, but a lot of that probably came back off when the harder fitness training started?

Cannot wait for tomorrow night. Cannot beat NSW v QLD even though the games usually turn out to be shit rugby spectacles.

A few beers at the Bavarian will set me up nicely to boo the Traitor from the members bar. My only dilemma, Qld or GPS jersey.......

The Non-wallaby Tahs have been in designed training programs since the end of the Shute Shield. The reports and interviews I have seen with different members of the Tahs Pigs all say that the weight gain has been targeted muscle gain. The "fitness" work you posted is the very reason why they have got the weight gain, there has been a change in focus in their whole strength and conditioning program since they got outmuscled in the semi last year.

The were also out-muscled by the same team, the Stormers, in the pool game early in the tournament.

As I indicated before: Mowen is bloodly big, but it's not just looking at him on the park big but being near him big (in the last two weeks). Then you compare that with with being near to him at practice last year.

He's a lot bigger, but as I say - we won't know if it's bigger effective - or just bigger - for a few weeks.

If it is effective, and the same for the other bigger guys, then Hickey should be congratulated for implementing the initiative.

Who is going to niggle first? In a game like this, and given the referees inclination lately to go for the yellow, we should expect a yellow card or two. Discipline could win this game...and yes, I'm looking at you Rocket.

I hope Humphries and Simmons have taken their angry pills. They need step up and roll some "persons resembling female reproductive organs" tonight for the Reds to have any chance.

He was still looking pretty big last week. Not sure about his actual weight, but he certainly looks bigger than last year.

I am looking forward to this game... I'm going, so I really hope it isn't a grudge fest.

Prediction for the game; Carter to have the best game at 12 in Super Rugby history, setting himself up for a surprise tilt at the IRB Player of the Year. It's a long shot, but I'll get mad props if I call it correctly.

I'm no bookie, but you will get a sweet payday for that one.

you would think they would, but they don't.

And Waugh is more that type of player. Think Lions tour 2001.

Yeah I would be putting him on the bottom of every ruck, clipping him everytime I got near him etc etc
