Baxter could end up making it to the wc if he keeps this form up. The way Benny A played last night I wouldn't have him anywhere near a word cup squad.

Vickerman won't be at the world cup either. With able loyal servants like Sharpe and Horwill, why would you pick a guy who pissed off in his prime to study FFS. For an apparently clever bloke, it's a shame he wasn't clever enough to figure out that there is a long boring working life after a professional sporting career is over.

+1 He has other priorities, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but I'd hate to see him swan back in to contention for a WV squad place. Not sure Dean feels that way though.

It's not everyday you get a chance to study at Cambridge. Perhaps the student life was enticing?

Maybe i'm oversimplifying it, but studying at Cambridge is something that notionally can be done as a 40 year old, playing at lock for the Wallabies is not.
