Personally don't really want to see him playing. I think the likes of Foketi, JAS, O'Donnell will be the best 3 centres with Walton and Ropata behind them.
Some Club side will get a decent 12.

Wonder what the knock on Foketi is or was he injured at any squad pickings. Some of the blokes running around for Aus A or whatever they want to call it aren’t his quality IMO.

Is it announced he’s signed though. Teams can have 50 blokes join in sessions through pre season and even play in trials.

A good number of those Academy players may drop as they compete with later developers in Colts. Not sure any of the Waratahs Academy players from last year will make it into East's Grade for example (now they are too old for Colts).

The average age of an Easts grade player would be in their early to mid twentys? Most academy players from last year are 19 lol.

What do you propose.. Scrapping the academy and only promoting players from Shute Shield?
It's an academy for a professional organisation, not a representative team; people seem to conflate the two. They're competing against other teams and codes to secure the best talent, who may not be ready for professional sport today but demonstrate the attributes that will make them better than the Shute Shield journeyman they're competing with in another 18-24 months.
Academies are an investment in talent with a 3-4 year return.. The standout one here is Zach Fittler who had other codes and teams offering contracts, is the expectation is he forgo 2-3 years of earnings and professional development just to satisfy people's wants for players to be selected from the SS? obviously this wouldn't happen he would have signed with the NRL instead.

All the names in the Academy seem to be eligible for 20s and not fixing the issues of now but preparing for few years down the road.
Big fish out there in age group Rugby has to be Angus Grover though. Has another year of School but he could have every side looking at him.
It would be good to know everyone involved in pre-season but also irrelevant when at times they may have a guy who is 7th on a Fullback depth chart if that existed doing a bronco along side Porecki. A lot wouldn't be getting paid more than a pair of shorts and t shirt.

Last year's Academy players are now 20. They can't play Colts anymore. Grade is around what you say, agreed.
We seem to be missing some transition opportunities for these 20 year olds who can't make the step up to Grade immediately.

Nope - my comment was about last year's finishing Academy players (who are now 20 and no longer in the Academy), and too old for Colts.
In the UK the Clubs (England)/URC Sides provide the Academies - that means more players are in structured environment - but it does mean they are pretty brutal with dropping players and replacing them.
I am wondering if this structure might be useful here for those 'Graduating' Academy players who aren't Super Rugby quality and perhaps not even Grade quality yet, but still have 'potential'.
Just ideas.
