I'm really interested to see the development of Amatosero next season. From a set piece point of view, he should develop well under McKellar and Palmer. He would be a great foil to the likes of Williams and Frost if he develops into a test player.

Word out of Daceyville this week is that Angelo Smith apparently now not coming to the Tahs after being announced as recently as last week. No reason given and apparently never turned up for pre-season at all and is in Fiji. Search for second rowers continues …

Hope he’s okay, what a shame, real talented player hopefully nothing bad has gone down and he turn out for the Drua (or come back to the Tahs).

I don't mind that. I'm sure they have done all the normal testing and such like Broncos. Doesn't really matter how the work gets in as long as it's done.

You see all the contact work on their Instagram at the grappling gym and it's with ball in hand. That is a great form of conditioning and skill work on both sides of the game.

Lineout is really going to struggle, at least early in the season. It was already going to be tough to get going with minimal connections carrying through from last year, but Fergus was probably going to be one of the key jumpers and an option as caller.
