You can’t tell a Queenslander that a New South Welshman (actually a kiwi I think) has a better moustache. Fact.

As a side note, it must be said that ALL Aussie teams are playing great wet wether footy, the handling and intent have been excellent. In previous years as soon as we had a drop of rain, we had very dour games.
Marky M (Nawaqanitawase) was solid, the kid has talent. I know he cops a lot of .... but credit where it's due, he was excellent under the high ball and has more X factor than our other wingers.
Gilmore singled him out for plenty of praise in the post-match press conference, saying it was the result of a lot of hard work, which is a good sign.First good game out of him since his debut season. Here's hoping he can keep it up.
I'll admit I had given up on him, my heart sunk when I saw him on the starting roster. If he can find a way to play that regularly I'll be incredibly happy.

Yep. He had a lot of expectation when he burst onto the scene, which was a bit hard to maintain when he was so young. Good to see that he seems to have kept his head up and worked hard. Definitely grabbed his redemption game by the short and curliesThe kid's still growing, physically, and still learning the different skills needed in our game. He certainly looked a different player, a step above where he was.
Yeah, I thought it was okHis game against the Crusaders last year was pretty good also
It would be helpful for them to provide a consolidated list each week. Press conference after Reds match mentioned Swinton being unknown due to nerve injury-type thing, Gordon hopeful for this week, Hooper available for this week, I don't Vosayaco was mentioned. Donaldson was supposed to be 3-4 weeks last week, so maybe now 2-3 wk.Where do we see the expected return from injury deets. Keen to see some more of a Swinton and Vosoyaco.
They do. At every team announcement. It would be helpful for them to provide a consolidated list each week.
Marky's defence is still very questionable. He's been blessed with blinding speed (schoolboy sprint champion will do that for you) which makes his ball-in-hand stuff look impressive, however, defence hasn't looked nearly as good. As one who's looked at far too much rugby these last 50 years might I suggest Mark spend a coupla years with the Oz 7s squad. There his blinding speed'll be a mighty asset, but, he'll have to make uber-quick judgements and decisions in defence. And his tackling techniques will be severely questioned.Marky M (Nawaqanitawase) was solid, the kid has talent. I asked the same question about his defence last Saturday. I don’t recall any blunders but yes certainly his attack was strong and impressive. Going on Saturdays game maybe he does not need 7s but again perhaps still need to confirm in a couple more games he has done some work on his defence before make any conclusions where he is at.Marky's defence is still very questionable.
