I'd like to see us play Foley at 10, Horne at 12 and Folau at 13 this weekend and see how that goes.

Might be a little harsh on Simone not having had a chance to play with Foley but I think Horne at 12 could be the best option in the short term.

I would like to see Simone get at least a game outside Foley, the ball hasn't moved successfully this season

I would stick with Simone for this week if Foley is fit.
If not, I would play Deegan at 10 and Horne at 12. Gibson has made it clear he will stick to Folau at 13 for another three games, so no point speculating about that.
He would be more involved at 13 witha 10 who can create that involvement, as Cooper does for Kerevi.
Does anyone know whether Hanigan is available this week?

I thought he got a fair bit better as the NRC went on, and then played okay in the trials. Haven't seen the SS trial you speak of.
The trouble is, the only alternatives are Horwitz, who's really a centre, and Hegarty, who doesn't seem to be able to create anything at all for Simone and Folau, who should be our most potent attacking weapons.

Simone been invisible so far or at least to me. Rate him so like to see him given bit more time and ideally with Foley at 10 as yes hearty after good pre season form been disappointing

Moving Folau back to 15 seems like a no brainer

How about they forget doing any "drills" or set play practice runs or gym work and just learn how to catch the ball and pass the ball IN FRONT of players. They can start with the players standing still they MAY be able to execute, then at a walk and then maybe a job, though we don't want to push them too hard.

Oh that's right, there was a (cross out the non-nominated excuse) sweat, dew, sheen of mud, dust, piece of grass, sun, rain, moon light, incorrect sponsor printing on the ball.........

why at Shute Shield and NRC level does the passing etc appear to be better than what the Tahs did tonight. Is practice the difference?

Don't be ridiculous, it's obvious to do with the speed and structure of the defensive line.
Yes that's fricken obvious. What I'm talking about in reference to tonight's game was the passes were going astray when they were well behind the gain line and the defence line was no where near them.

Look I have never been convinced about Gibson so unless we see some improvement I would like to see a change of coach for next season. Simon Cron done great work with Norths so maybe time for him to step up.

The decline since Gibson taken over from Cheika has been so apparent and change of team personnel can be no excuse given much larger turnover of key players Brumbies have had and look how they are doing this season. I have never really got the criticism of Larkham as always thought he is one of our very good up and coming coaches and can see why being groomed as Cheika's heir apparent for the Wallabies job. Gibson on the other hand has offered nothing and feel Tahs style of play has only got worse under him as old Cheika influence waned on players.

I can't see Gibson improving as a coach or offering a good long term solution fo the Tahs so really hope he is jettisoned by end of the season.

Gibson should go now and give Cron a go. At least maybe the team may have something to start building towards.

Disagree, they were always going to be inconsistent this season, the kiddies in the forwards are showing not enough angry and Hegarty can't get the ball moving

They were actually in decline before Cheika left.
Not saying Gibson is the answer.
blame him for not arresting the decline, not for commencing it.

Whilst some concerns about Gibson regardless he should see out the season and a review been done at end of season to consider if he should go. Be interested to see how Cron could go but yes big step up so maybe expectations he could do better a little premature. Still interested to see what Cron could do at higher levels of coaching.
