Genia has made a few blunders so far. Good thing Tomane cleaned that one up.

Barnes has had a strong start. Found touch with most kicks, made a couple of big tackles.

With this wind it will be very hard not to spend the whole first half defending our line.

Tomane saved Genia's blushes there, was just poor handling but the fact that he decided to wait for the ball to drop rather than attack it.

They tried kicking out of their own 22 early on.. the ball just boomeranged back.

Are we watching the same game slim?

clearly they just need to keep the ball in hand and hold onto it. Kicks of any type have ended badly.

Can see why Aus aren't kicking much, up and under definitely went up but net gain of zero.

If they're going to kick they just need to kick smarter...

And if they're going to try and run it back from their own 22m they need to repeat what they did there and keep it tight...

Trying to run around like 7's is going to help as much as pointless box kicks...

Aus need a few more of the forwards to follow the lead of Pocock and Moore and make the decision to pick and go. The little delay when players decide what to do or wait to be told what to do is costing Aus momentum and allow Scotland to set the defence.

Grubber kicks and ones with low trajectory will be very successful in these conditions especially if you take into account Scotland's poor handling ability even in the dry.
