Wallabies looking comfortable at half time. Barnes has had the positive headache of having too many options now that Beale is running lines too. Sharpe and Pocock have been very good. Higgers has been eager for work and carries but he needs to protect the ball better in contact. Horne and McCabe have been the best, as a combination, that I've seen them in gold.
For Wales not making the changes, that most of Wales would have been crying out for last week, is costing them. Rees would need to score a couple of tries just to even out his lineout performance in this series. Warburton is off injured but should never have been starting when he wasn't fully fit and Tipuric in better form. Priestland has been better than last week but still making errors.
On top of that Wales have been terrible on restarts, AWJ has dropped a few and if he drops another in the 2nd half should get the hook right away. I would have thought that lineouts and restarts would have made up a high proportion of what the Welsh packed worked on during the week. But you can get it perfect 100% of the time in training and it still goes to pot in the Test.
Much better to drop players who aren't performing. One thing that Wales were doing well over the last few years was picking players on form. Loyalty to under performing players, while admirable, often comes back to bite you and creates unrest amongst the players being overlooked.
