Just jumped in to check out the comments .. and holy fk what is up with some of this shit? A bunch of good young players trying to rebuild a team absolutely left in pieces after Jones and all people here can do is whinge and moan.
That was a gritty test effort from a very new team. Enjoyed it a lot.

Our set piece was surprisingly good. Good to see Thor back, both front rows were good. Kailua was huge in defence and I thought set the benchmark in that last 10. Thought Mcreight was quiet but maybe didn't notice the graft.

Gordon was good, lolesio mostly good but didn't drop his head after mistakes. Back 3 had some good connection.

Wrights ankle breaker was definitely a peach.

Hunter's decision making was not the best, Kellaway was better in the second half, Lynagh made a difference and Tate needs to work on his box kick. Nice try from Wright and Daugunu who started looking for work in the second half. Nice work, wins a win and like I said we will beat Wales 2-0.

Starting pack were good, bench was not as effective.

It was an odd game in terms of what they were doing well or not. Too many great moments followed by a poor moment that let off the pressure, but overall on balance for the amount of prep it was a solid first outing. It felt very stop start at times with the Welsh players taking the knee which started to becoming irritating.

I thought the Gordon/Lolesio axis worked well and his service looked better than Tates. Bobby and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) were both great. Tupou made some real impact which was nice to see. Daugunu showed his skill and athelicisim. Liam Wright was excellent at lineout time and the Welsh were really struggling for clean ball.

The defense in the last stanza was also solid and showed the focus and effort that the players had right till the final whistle.

Plus a win in Sydney can't be understated. It's been way too long since this state has seen the Wallabies win.

He was decent. Plenty of good stuff. That cross kick option sucked balls though. Just not what was needed at the time.
Yeah that sucked but like everyone tonight was decent and will get better with the connection he forms with others.

Most players were good enough, to beat a Welsh team that while not good has been together much longer then ours.

Wouldn’t mind seeing lynagh start next week - again Noah wasn’t great
Also Hamish steward to get a shot at 12 next week to release the outside backs?
again Paisami not effective at test level
Lucky wright got the breakaway try as he and other outwide didn’t get enough chances
