Straying off-topic a little but, Strauss having announced his Test retirement at year's end, who's the next Bokke skipper? I'd say Whitely except he's not exactly a dead-set starter if/ when Vermuelen is fit so does that mean it's Vermuelen? Or someone else? Not sure who "someone else" would be, tho.........

I suspect that transformation will have something to do with this. Not suggesting a black captain as such, but a Captain wedded to the concept and exerting leadership particularly to the necessary changes in the team. They'll be looking for their very own version of a Pocock.

Agree re Morahan but let's not nit pick, it's a squad inclusion. As for Godwin, yeah it's because of injuries and it's been discussed at length on this forum. Personally I'm excited to see what he can offer, if it's not him who is your choice to fill the hole? And don't say kerevi or hodge, they are already in the squad.

Kinda, agree with most of that but Godwin is more than emergency cover....he's the only genuine 12 in the squad
