TWO PLAYERS CITED AFTER TRI NATIONS TEST BETWEEN QANTAS WALLABIES AND SPRINGBOKS
Qantas Wallabies five-eighth Quade Cooper and South African centre Jaque Fourie have been cited for dangerous tackles in the wake of Australia’s 30-13 win over the Springboks in tonight’s Bundaberg Red Tri Nations Test in Brisbane.
Citing Commissioner Steve Hinds of New Zealand charged Cooper and Fourie under Law 10.4(e), over separate incidents which led to sin bin stints for the pair during the clash at Suncorp Stadium.
Fourie was yellow carded in the second minute of the Test and Cooper in the 54th minute.
Judicial Officer Bruce Squire QC (Quade Cooper) of New Zealand will preside over the hearings this morning (Sunday) at the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane, starting at 9am.
Blue - what's up with the Boks. Last year - power + speed, 15 man game. This year - soft.

Repeating the same process and expecting a different result...definition of idiocy!Quote Originally Posted by Scarfman View Post

Lost: 1 tooth
I read Clancy. Who the hell is Clancy?
Wobs to lose by 8. There's no such thing as a 3 in a row loss for the Boks.
The NRIs. It's that simple.
Fourie and Cooper cited for dangerous tackles

South Africa's Jacque Fourie and Australia's Quade Cooper have been cited for dangerous tackles following the Wallabies' 30-13 Tri-Nations victory over the Springboks in Brisbane.
Fourie was sin-binned in the second minute of the Suncorp Stadium clash for a spear/tip tackle on Wallabies No.8 Richard Brown while Cooper also saw yellow for a similar challenge on Springboks fly-half Morne Steyn in the second half.
Citing Commissioner Steve Hinds of New Zealand charged Cooper and Fourie under Law 10.4(e) following the game that brought an end to a disastrous tour for the Springboks. Lock Bakkies Botha was sin-binned during the opening loss to New Zealand and was subsequently banned for nine weeks for a separate incident - a head-butt on All Blacks scrum-half Jimmy Cowan.
Lock Danie Rossouw saw yellow against New Zealand in Wellington while wing Jean de Villiers was suspended for two-weeks following the same game for a dangerous tackle on All Blacks winger Rene Ranger. And in their latest outing, prop BJ Botha was also sent to the sin-bin for deliberately slowing the ball.
Springboks coach Peter de Villiers has also courted controversy for comments he made in the wake of his side's back-to-back defeats to the All Blacks where he appeared to suggest that New Zealand's victories were part of a conspiracy designed to generate more support ahead of the World Cup next year. He has since attempted to clarify his comments that were made during an interview on Australian TV.

Nice mental image there. And I add that I've tipped them in all 3 games this year. They're arse raping me.
I was at the hotel when they came back after the game, and not one of them went to the bar- straight back to their rooms.
I guess if there is any fairness in the world that Fourie and Cooper should get two weeks for last nights work, that seems to be the standard set this year for lifting tackles.
Strange game, we had better individual performances in attack, but were just so average as a team with ball in hand, with just too much selfishness across the board. It was either Gits & AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) not passing for most of the night (passing only when you run out of options is dumb), Elsom's inability to think & run etc etc. I don't remember Horne being passed the ball all night, he was just great in defence, but do his team-mates dislike him or something? or is it as the junior member he isn't calling for the ball enough?
There were spasmodic moments when the forwards worked together for a change and had someone driving on their hip, but then we reverted to type and had the ball chucked to a flat footed forward who went nowhere. Don't these guys see the NRL, hit the ball at pace off quick ball and there is a chance to create momentum.
Genia was inflicted with the same lack of options as Burgess has been, we revert to slow, ponderous crash ball from a standing start after waiting hour for the pigs to get organised.
Our attempts to play "All Blacks Lite" seem to last about 5 minutes at best before we "forget".
A better ref could also cane us, as we constantly go off our feet - which takes units out of play for the following phase as they lay entangled having a little rest and gives Genia less options.
