No doubt the team were under instruction to kick more especially with the static ball.If that were true we would've seen more kicking in his last 2 performances, but we didn't.....
Ergo, bullshit.
The simple fact is, the coach directly instructed them to play the game up the other end as they were struggling for clean ball and the French defence were all over our backs....
Considering White has the strongest boot in our backline, that task largely fell to him.....
Even Folau kicked the ball more times than he probably has all year...
My main criticism was the few opportunities where the Wallabies managed turnover ball with a disorganised French defence he tended to kick it.
Surely the potential risk/reward profile favours running the ball rather than White kicking it (not accurately mostly) and then the French returning the ball deeper to one of our back 3 and we just start again. A Phibbs/Genia would be more likely to use the opportunity to run the ball..
