A decent night out on the sauce will cost $200-$300. Plenty of the people that said it was too expensive would likely spend that.
I think it comes down to what people perceive as being worth their dollar. For the last couple of years, the spectacles we'd paid good money for have been nothing but a bore. One try, penalty kickathons with the players not entertaining the public.
Outside of Joubert being such a worry rat about making a call and getting the tmo to spend 5 minutes reviewing possible tries, last night was one of the most entertaining games we've watched in a good few years. The French had some "razzle dazzle" moments and the wallabies scored a years worth of tries under the previous managements tenure.
If you had asked people last night whether they got their money's worth I'm wiling to bet everyone would have said yes. After last years draw against the darkness, I'm sure people would have said no.
