Wallabies v England November 1

Genge is on par with Bell. LCD is better than BPA, Pollock is better than Tizzano. Spencer is better than whatever bench 9 we put out. Finn Smith is miles better than whatever bench flyhalf we have. If they take multiple injuries to their backs that could make things interesting.

It's certainly a game I wish we were playing a week later...

They might have had limited preparation but it's still a team stacked with Lions who were runners up in the Six Nations this year, and we're missing too many key impactful players in the likes of Skelton, Hooper, McDermott, Ikitau and Wright.

Apparently G. Carter was going to come off the bench against Japan but had a minor quad complaint. Seems to be inline to come off the bench against England now.

For the sake of names

1 Bell
2 Faessler
3 Tupou
4 Williams
5 Frost
6 Valetini
7 McReight
8 Wilson
9 Gordon
10 Edmed
11 Pietch
12 Paisami
13 JAS
14 Jorgenson
15 Kellaway

16 Pollard
17 Ross
18 Ala'alatoa
19 Swain
20 Tizzano
21 Lonergan
22 Gordon
23 Daugunu

But I do wonder if we do a 6/2 split with NCDC on the bench for Daugunu

I'm happy with Tane starting and Carter coming off the bench. I've been impressed with the improvement in Tane. I thought he was never going to make it when he first played, but I think there is a space for him, depending on what happens with others between now and RWC.

Christy suggesting:

3. Ala'alatoa
4. Frost
5. Salakaia-Loto
7. McReight
10. Edmed
11. Potter
13. Sua'ali'i
14. Jorgensen
15. Kellaway

18. Tupou
22. Stewart
23. Daugunu

I assume Wilson and Valetini will both start but they're not mentioned in the article.

Wow Schmidt really is wedded to the time in camp over drafting replacements.
Literally, going for a needled up LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) over a fully fit Swain.

The medical advice is presumably that Salakaia-Loto can play at 100% and as coach you're selecting him because you view him as a better player.

Swain with 1/4 of fuck all time in camp.

Gordon is also still injured.

Potter on the wing against Roebuck, Feyi-Waboso doesn't fill me with hope. Nor does a Edmed/Stewart two punch against Ford/Smith.

It could be he thinks the lineout is going to be important to us if our scrum isn't up to it?

Gordon? I assume you mean C and not J....After the game jake put in last week, I am not confident.

I don’t really have an issue with the LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) selection. Just commenting on. How Schmidt really is very committed to his selection criteria. Absolute shame if Gordon doesn’t get up.
