That's stretching it. I dislocated my shoulder 2 years ago. It took almost 6 weeks before I was able to raise my arm above the horizontal.
Would be a miracle if he made it.
As
southsider said, it depends on the person. I have had two subluxations where it slips out and tears the labrum but doesn't fully dislocated. I would regain 100% of movement within 2 days. I then had a reconstruction which failed and I dislocated it completely in a rugby match where it popped back in immediately and had full range back in about 5 days. Stupidly, but proudly
, went back and played as it was my senior year at high school for the 5ths and dislocated it again in the final game of the season. Didn't go back in and that took about 2 -3 weeks to have full movement and another 2 weeks for strength to come back.
Higgers shoulder relocated immediately after the event which hopefully means he will be able to get into rehab asap. Just trying to be positive
At this stage I believe out of those in the squad and under Deans' idiotic approach, Barnes is our best option at flyhalf. He is a proven performer and solid player who wears the Gold jersey with pride. Traditional flyhalf skills and distributes well along with decent defence, albeit not as good as he was before his head knocks. We just have to hope Folau has enough x factor to counter what will undoubtedly be straight running, boring backline manoeuvres.
