Hopefully Higgers comes through ok and is one of the final 6. If not I'd replace him in the side with MMM or Mowen. Please no Dennis

I'm thinking that touch wood if higgers makes it back then he will be considered as a special case and not part of the extra six, that way fluffy bunny Phipps is not a wasted selection and there is room for white

That's stretching it. I dislocated my shoulder 2 years ago. It took almost 6 weeks before I was able to raise my arm above the horizontal.

Would be a miracle if he made it.

As southsider said, it depends on the person. I have had two subluxations where it slips out and tears the labrum but doesn't fully dislocated. I would regain 100% of movement within 2 days. I then had a reconstruction which failed and I dislocated it completely in a rugby match where it popped back in immediately and had full range back in about 5 days. Stupidly, but proudly :D, went back and played as it was my senior year at high school for the 5ths and dislocated it again in the final game of the season. Didn't go back in and that took about 2 -3 weeks to have full movement and another 2 weeks for strength to come back.

Higgers shoulder relocated immediately after the event which hopefully means he will be able to get into rehab asap. Just trying to be positive :)

At this stage I believe out of those in the squad and under Deans' idiotic approach, Barnes is our best option at flyhalf. He is a proven performer and solid player who wears the Gold jersey with pride. Traditional flyhalf skills and distributes well along with decent defence, albeit not as good as he was before his head knocks. We just have to hope Folau has enough x factor to counter what will undoubtedly be straight running, boring backline manoeuvres.

Funny you should write that because I actually think that's what's he's done with Ioane. Ioane is now training with the squad but is no longer considered technically part of the squad. I think they'll be 31 + Iaone

Why is it not good? He was always going to play one game not both so why not give him a few extra days?

Been living on this site for over 2 years but never posted. Thought it was time to join the fray. Deans has probably pulled Phipps into the Wallaby squad to force Hill to give Burgess a full 80 on the weekend?

Welcome aboard Mick. I reckon you aren't the only bloke thinking that. If we were talking about anyone other than RD you could dismiss it as a conspiracy theory, but the who squad announcement and selection process has been pretty surreal.

Just to think laterally about things, Phipps is probably the closest we have to Phillips. Kinda handy in training. Struggling otherwise but I assume Phipps was well received in camp last year and maybe Deans wants a 9 on hand who has a different playstyle to Genia when Genia goes into his shell. Certainly Phipps and Burgess have those qualities.

Who knows, I'd have White any day of the week over most all of the Super Rugby halves, certainly the other Aussie ones cept Genia and tbh I have liked the look of White over Genia in the last two games.

firstly most agree that white deserves consideration to be in the squad but ffs, this "squad" seems to be an amorphous organic mass. Are Beale and White now part of the "6" . There has always been strong speculation that burgess was (since discussion about his commitments to playing in Europe were tabled by RD.) Does that mean that really we are only now 3 people away from the 31, or is it 31 + a few others, + an injured rehab group.

Cosmo, Lilo would be my preference at 12 BUT that would have a 9, 10, 12, 13 who have never played those positions together.

Lilo and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) have partnered together at the Brumbies in the past........

And besides, with Horne you'll have a 10/12 that have never played together.......

And JOC (James O'Connor) doesn't even know how to play 10 anyways.........

So it won't matter........,
