Based on the BaaBaa game last night 10 is a challenging position for the Lions as well.
Only if Sexton gets injured. I never understood the selection of Farrell and last night didn't change my view.

I rate McCalman this season over that marsh mellow Palu and even Dennis to a lesser extent. In fact I rate all of the force loose forwards over any of those tahs mentioned.
.
The only possible logic I can see behind the Phipps selection would be Deans wanting a sniping scrum half to put on against tired legs. Even this doesn't make sense to me though. Why not put on a scrumhalf who can kick the fucking skin off the ball and make their tired piggies run all over town in the last bit of the game or just plain pin them in their own 22?
I'm getting a bit tired of Deans selecting players in positions for which they cannot even perform the core duties well. 9s with a shit pass, hookers that can't throw, locks who can't jump well/at all..maybe that is just me though.
Agreed .... Feral is an immensely unlikable individual, he has an o'money hair cut and sook face dial....plus having daddy on the coaching staff does not help...I hope he plays in the first test and gets bitch slapped for his petulance by mmm... That's my fantasy but I know sexton will be first choice and mmm is still not in our squadOnly if Sexton gets injured. I never understood the selection of Farrell and last night didn't change my view.
Okay consider this your very last warning on the Ref bashing!Laughing and then to top it all off using bent refs to pip us at the post in every tight game.
BRING on the Link ERA!
Are you sure you're not Hoopy Loopy? Could have sworn.McCalman surely not.
Spot on.Yeah, I would rank them:
Genia
White
Burgess
Sheehan or Phipps as the 4th option.
He has picked Douglas at least? I don't agree with the selection, I'm just trying to work out what the logic is behind it. These players aren't being picked out of a hat, they are being picked for a reason. Struggling to work out exactly what those reasons are though.
I think youre overlooking the fact that Deans obviously thinks Phipps can cover for Ioane on the wing.
This just shows what a farce the "26 man expandable 31 man squad with 1 half" was in the first place.
Deans had doen it again - maybe he saw something in the Lions game last night that caused him to realise "shit - i only picked one 9 in the 26 man squad"
All my analysis shows is that whether your a Phipps fan or a White fan or neither Deans has got it all completely arse about.Still wouldn't explain why Phipps was chosen. Inexplicable based on form and skill sets when compared with Nic White. I can't stomach the drivel that comes out of Deans. My guess is that Nic has no show of being in the final 6 despite Deans' statement to that effect.
Lets assume that Higgers Ioane etc are not available and based on those who have already been chosen in the squad my run on team at this stage would be;
Robbo
Moore
Slipper
Horwill
Douglass
Mowen
Gill
Palu
Genia
Beale
Falou
Lilo
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
Cummins
Barnes
The forwards are ok as we have some grunt in the scrum, some runners and 4 jumpers, Mowen to call the lineouts but not a lot of options at THP but I do like Slipper's mobility...I do not particauly like Barnes and Beale in their due to the many factors that have been raised again and again on this forum, but at the same time I have always called for them to be in there cause I am not sure if we have many alternatives at the moment.
No problems with your team but I think O'Connor will be 10, Barnes will be 12 and KB (Kurtley Beale) 15.
i cant see Folau starting but who knows.
based on what deans wants? or you really think dennis is better? please dont go down the test experienced roadI see Dennis getting picked at 6 over Mowen.
You mean as a backup lock? Yeah, deans might just be into that.Any thoughts on Foley as an addition to the squad ?
