Schmidt selected Edmed over Lynagh on the end of year tour.

After Lolesio, Lynagh and Donaldson were all injured he was the bench option behind JOC (James O'Connor), and then promoted to start when it looked like JOC (James O'Connor) may not be back for Bled two.

Surely they were just a little bit tempted to pick Heinz Lemoto and cap him off the bench for Australia A before he jets off to France...

If he wants to go, let him. Plenty of good prospects who want to play in Australia.
