Liam Wright occupies 2 spots in the disrupter top 10 eh? That's quite the effort...

Other than that, top work Reg.

Nawaqanitawase showing up in the top 10 for defence, work rate, attacking influence and disruption is a really good sign. While he isn't topping any of them he's clearly rounding out his game this year.

Other main take away from a Tah fan is that Hooper really hasnt hit his stride. You would expect him to be in the top 10 for attacking influence typically. It's also not great that he isn't in the top 10 for disruption.

Good to see the turn around in Tate's form after a shaky start to the season in those stats - completely gone from the 'Uh Oh' listing and the best halfback for attacking influence.

Surely McReight makes the World Cup squad, this is one campaign where we definitely need 2 open sides if we pick Hooper

It is interesting to see that Langi is just out the gate the best attacking 8 in the country. 3.39 times the 2nd best, Wilson.

Strange to see Valetini is almost unsighted in these numbers. Doesn't match what I've seen but maybe I go looking for it.

Also not that I expected him but no Vunivalu either.

Yeah, it's an interesting one. I can't say I'm aboard the Valetini hype train - solid performer who can no doubt be influential at the international level, and who I fully expect to be given the 8 jersey, but I just don't see him as the standout performer that many here do. Likewise, maybe I'm not looking for it.

On Vunivalu, he has his moments throughout games, but can understand why the 'per minute' stats would do him no favours - particularly as he's only started really looking for work in the last couple of weeks

Biggest difference I can see between Gleeson and guys like Wilson and Valetini is in minutes per game. Gleeson has only played 80 once and averages below 60 minutes a game, while Wilson and Valetini are almost always playing 80 - Wilson has missed 10 minutes for a yellow card and Valetini came off at the 59th minute of one game, playing 80 in the rest of his starts. Playing a role based around limited minutes is always going to help Gleeson's impact comparatively (though it's a great impact).

Minus McReights exceptional form the last couple of weeks, Brad Wilkin has been the best 7 this season.

I personally don’t believe he has ceiling that McReight does, but it wouldn’t be a shock if he was World Cup bound. Eddie made special mention of him post camp and we all know he loves “test match warriors”. Wilkin is a warrior and a big body which does tick a lot of Eddie’s preferences.

Depending on who plays 6 though it's potentially being able to deliver that impact in a shorter period of time that really favours Gleeson towards getting a spot in the 23.
