Uelese's first challenge is staying fit. I'd back him to pick up an injury this season, it just depends how serious.
If not Uelese, then Valetini...
I reckon there's a strong case that if Cheika is serious about taking these two to the RWC that he needs to give them a reasonable amount of game time over the upcoming four tests to either make sure they're physically able to hold up or that they break down and he can select someone else.
There is no one better that could be justified as a starter, so you work around his strengths and weaknesses, like every other player selected
Just because you dont rate To'omua doesn't mean he wont get the gig at 10, he finished the season as the Wallaby 10 and Lealiifanio has had enough caps like 16 ish and has played long enough, that his no rookie.
I think Foley will get his chance, as will the others, I think if you where going to go into the first test and say form is my guide, lets see who has it at test level, I suspect you will see Lealiifano start at 10 against the Bok, then if it goes to shit Foley will get his chance against Argentina, or possibly the other way round.
I see them both as pretty similar players, with goal kicking better and Lealiifano's defense better (but Foley does put his back into it).
And we can with Lilo or Quade?Bang on, let the process decide.
We can’t win the cup with Foley at 10 in my opinion.
Why are Tahs so staunchly supportive of Foley?
It’s like Trump rhetoric.
Let’s just see what happens shall we.
Let the process dictate, stop telling us he is the best available.
Let the men decide by performing.

Only selection i don’t like is Latu, the bloke is a liability on and off-field
I'm fine with Foley starting at 10. If he does though, you can't have Beale at 15. You need to have DHP at 14 and Banks (or Hodge somewhere) at 15. Reason being, the most obvious inside three will be Foley, Kerevi (yes his kicking game has improved) and TK.
Foley and Beale really don't have the necessary kicking game we need to get out of our own 22. DHP/Hodge and Banks from what I've seen get on average another 10 - 20 metres from general play than the pop-gun specialists.
Genia did most of the exits last year from memory and was getting us near the halfway line. Banks is quite a good line kicker which is another point in his favour to start at 14 or 15.
