STOP THE QC (Quade Cooper) vs FOLEY rubbish or the thread will be locked until an hour or so before kick off.

Further posts mentioning the comparative merits of Quade vs Bernard or anything not related to tonight's game will be deleted, and bans may also be issued.

Most readers want to post and read about the match.

Thank God. Give them their own thread and let them go for it.

Back to the game - these three hours will feel like an eternity.

Theres nothing like a Spring tour - new competition every week and largely variant playstyles. It also helps that we're expected to win a fair few of the games.

Agree entirely
I was pondering today whether playing the ABs so often while they're such a dominant force is actually hurting Australian rugby.
Looking forward to some variety and hopefully some different results.

I think the biggest problem for the Wallabies this year is not the standard of play, but a drop in confidence following several losses and a constant shellacking in the press. I actually think for most of the RC and especially the beginning of the England series we looked quite good (I was blown away in the first 30 against England Game 1 at how good we were, but that dissipated throughout the series). We were about 80% there.

I think if we can notch a few wins on this tour the win/loss will balance out (it'll still be poor but thats unrecoverable at this stage) and some confidence will return to the squad. If thats the case, we'll be looking pretty good going into next year with a revitalised, experienced squad with better depth across the park (e.g. most pertinently in the 2nd row). If my calculations are correct, we used atleast 45 players in the Gold jersey from USA 2015 to Bledisloe 3. I think we're much better for that.

Not all is doom and gloom, we're simply rebuilding post the RWC.

Can't wait to see TK reclaim the 13 jersey.:)

His job just got a lot easier.

Jonathan Davies (originally starting 13) has been ruled out of the game just hours before kick off with a tight hamstring. Scott Williams comes in not from the bench, but from outside the 23 to replace him. The bench has stayed the same.

The same Scott Williams who was deemed not fit enough for a bench spot. Talk about setting yourself up for a fall ! Can't see him lasting the distance.
Just highlights the paucity of options available to us outside the top 3 players in that position.

This beIN Sports Connect stream off their website is so far better than Foxtel Play...............

I'm streaming onto Foxtel play and its ok so far - a tad clunky but no huge concerns as of yet.

Commentary / pundits are fairly dry though.

Wheres Kearns? Scrums / hookers haven't been mentioned nearly enough yet. I'm getting withdrawals.

Edit: Production / camera angles seem a bit off though. It screams home made porno meets "Paranormal activity".

Whose this bearded bloke in Wallabies jumper #20? Seems like an eternity since I've laid eyes on Scott Fardy.

Fantastic offload from Folau following that delightful little chip from Foley - nice to see us mixing up the point of attack early to put some doubt in the Wales defence (inside ball to Hooper from the lineout another example).

beIN is refusing to work for me. I've registered an account and that works fine - but it won't let me select the subscription, very frustrating.

Anyway, great kick from Foley to Folau, but pretty poor after that to try and finish off.
