What the ARU should consider is taking the profits made from the 2nd Bledisloe test, taking it to the casino and betting it all on black in one roulette spin.

If they win, we can ditch the third Bledisloe game. If they lose, we will have to play the Bledisloe game to win our money back.

By my calculations we will avoid having the play that third game once every two years. Giving us an ideal start to the EOYT every second year, and hence a 50% better chance of winning the grand slam.

I understand how Francais is anglicised to France, Espana to Spain, Italia to Italy, Eire (land) to Ireland, but HTF does Cymru sound anything like Wales?

Hugh, be very careful associating anything to do with England with Wales. It's not good for your health.;)

It's an interesting debate IMO. If we want championship-class results, attention to every detail of preparation and its optimisation is crucial, especially when we're not yet proven to be a consistently outstanding team.

I get that national cricket is a limited analogy for rugby, but you would never, ever see England or Australia arriving for an Ashes Test off a 24 hr flight one week before Test 1 and with zero local warm-up games pre that Test. They'd think an observer quite mad to propose such a reckless preparatory process.

Cricket is indeed a limited analogy. Similarly extensive travel is built into our provincial rugby competition -- it's tough, but I don't think it's disastrous. As far as I know, the Kiwis deal with same schedule. And don't the June visiting sides also arrive the week before? I think this is a reality of the modern game, and less taxing than it would have been without modern planes.

The way I learned it is Wales is the Anglo Saxon word for anything associated with the Celtic peoples of Britain. Also appears in English towns like Wallasey, wallsingham etc and even in walnut. Cymru is the word that the welsh used to describe themselves and those of Northern England as opposed to the German English. It does appear latinised like French , francais Spain espana etc the word you're looking for is Cambria and Cumbria. There you go!

Just noticed that brynmors boy is dropped from bench after his run on in the tonga game. Shame in a way if it's because of that.

I have felt a bit let down this year on the spring tour, as we haven't had any mid week tour matches against club teams in which we field ridiculous experimental line ups like the classic days of the giteau & rogers 9/10 combination.

Hence I am propose wallabies go crazy and play centre partnership which will ooze flamboyancy and flair..........12. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 13. Cummins.

That midfield combination will allow us an exapnsive game in which if Quade hopes to get the balls to the wingers he will either have a) cross field chip or b) throw a triple cut out pass.
To prepare ourselves for the high ball onslaught in the corner I propose we move our most athletic jumper Sitaleki Timani to the wing to give North and Cuthbert a lesson in aerial combat.

Jusdt hope the English hate the Welsh as much as the Welsh hate the English - same with the Irish !!!!
Whoever woulld suggest that just because the ref is an orc he won't be fair. Could have been worse, couldve chosen Rolland. Mind, since Rolland has ADD he will be trying his best to grab attention. Expect yellow cards on the touchie's call
