Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Damn couldn’t they just play one game to empty spectators? I’m sure the Stan sports camera men could get covid tested
Couldn’t get the Kiwis here without having to quarantine on the way home , so for now at least it’s off .

Have no idea if it can be rescheduled.

A couple of games during the Rugby Championship could be an alternative.

Cracking backline Adam , like it .
Backrow of Tauakipulu, Hough and Gibson at 6/7/8 could see happening , although Pat Maka was there last year.
Werchon is a halfback so would be at 21.
Hope they get to play !

great depth. Ben Dowling has been great for Aussie 7s. Not sure what his 15s position is, but he'd push for a spot on the wing I'd expect.

Cancelled Account

Desmond Connor (43)
Audrey would probably get the wing over Vaihu and Lancaster. Vaihu to 22. Gordon would most definitely do Annan out of 12 and possibly Lynagh out of 10 depending on his development in the past 12 months. Annan to 23.

Anyone got insight on the unknowns?

Incidentally, only one QLD Red in the tight five is a slight development worry. Acknowledging Romano's roots.

Any positions I get wrong, knowing that there is some versatility amongst the backs.

Any backrowers more locks?

I believe Jamie Clark is a prop. I think Ed Arnott is a 13/outside back from the Kings School. I thought Poolman was more of a 12 than a 10.

A few tight 5 players with the reds who have just aged out - Wilson Blyth, George Blake, Zane Nonggorr and maybe Lopeti Faifua all just outside of eligibility I think. Might have expected to see Carsen Patu there though.

It must be much harder picking these squads than previous years with much less chance to compare the guys directly or even to have got a look at them in person over the past year. Hopefully the state level competition can run unhindered this year. Any word yet on a world cup this year?

Great to see the movement to get opportunity.

Gordon, Hough and Gibson all Brisbane school but now Rebel (2) and Waratah
Slack-Smith - Sydney school but now Force
Lynagh - UK and now Red (ok pedigree)

QLD has dominated these age group since under 15. Very high proportion of Waratah which is curious but perhaps future camp will have different make up.
Hope to see some real U20 selection game between the state.

QLD Rugby needs to get games happening for the u20 academy. NSW has played ACT already this year hence Grey had something to look at.
