Drew is a mate of my sons. One name I don't see from previous squads is Drew Brndusic. Does anyone closer to the form guide know why he didn't get a ticket to SA?
Drew is a mate of my sons.
He plays Tight Head for Gungahlin Eagles in Canberra.
After making the extended u20 squad that trained together in Kangaroo Valley (sth of Sydney) he was not chosen in the squad that played on the Sunshine Coast in May.
Unfortunately he was not included in todays announcement but continues to be a dominant force in the ACT comp moving up into 1st Grade a couple of times this season.
With the rebels downfall. Rumours surrounding Joey Fowler linked with nrl team the bulldogs have arisen. This would explain his absence from the 20s squad.
Saw a highlight of Sione from the weekend, he's looking in great nick, impossible to get down. That's Rugby. Don't be surprised if Ottavio finds ends up on an academy deal staying in Sione's spare room.
Looks good for a semi appearanceSides are all tough but we have it as good as it could have turned out fixture wise I think.
Bloomfield, Alatini, King all favoured at tighthead. Bloomfield and Alatini probably autopicks based on prior U20s form. I havnt watched all of them, but King has been good in a couple of recent QPR games. One name I don't see from previous squads is Drew Brndusic. Also noted that. Massive shame, was looking forward to watching him dominte and wasn't that impressed by Harley in the U20 RC.Looks like Talataina didn't get up to full fitness.
Apparently England rotated their squad and the majority of their starter were on the bench. Still. Pretty strong result regardless.View attachment 19319
Are we in the hardest pool? Italy beat the French during the 6 nations as well.
Doesn’t feel right calling it an upset when the Georgia win 45/17…
Yes - this draw is no gimme, especially if we don't front up in the tight 5, and one of the BackRow goes AWOL - which has been a tendency.Still has to be guys going to the WC though.
45 points is a big score and puts pressure on those English starters then.
Good to see for World Rugby.
