Un-Australian Activities 2019

Good performance from the Lions. Warren Whitely was pretty emotional in post-match interview, well done to them.

I wonder if Whiteley was an Aussie, how many fans would whinge that he stays out wide and rarely leaves the tram tracks?

Great performance from him and Kwagga Smith.

Rahboni Warren-Vosayaco's selection at 12 delivers immediately as he runs an outstanding line to setup the Sunwolves' first try.

Well geez the Chiefs were pretty bad weren't they? Too many players who are not quite this level, mind you after last week's game I thought they might be flat. Still the Lions should also be credited with playing well!

And the Canes took a fair while to get going, Fletcher smith does not excite me at 10,seems to struggle a bit, but behind that Cane's pack probably understandable.
Thought I would mention that perhaps Gus wouldn't feel he had a good game with the whistle, but like players the refs are not always on top of their game.

Another good game to watch, is it my imagination or is Papalii playing bloody well? I thought Gibson had been going well, he get's injured and Paplii steps right up, along with Robinson a couple of flankers that work their arses off!
Real Clan effort that one, they just decided they were going to win the game , and so set about doing it. Their midfield contained Blues quite well I thought, and whole forward pack went well, I continue to like the look of Lomax, he even got prop's ears now!

^ I thought Clan grew a lot of confidence from keeping loss Bleus scoreless for so long & conversely loss Bleus seemed to get a bit panicky "omg how come we haven't scored yet?" etc.

Papali'i best on field for loss Bleus & hard to single out any of the Clan, a real team effort that was.

It's quite congested from 7-12 as well. A lot of teams on 18-20 points.

Also interesting that if the quarter finals were held next week there'd be only one "international QF" between the Lions and the Hurricanes. Shame that one domestic team would have to knock the other out but at least you'd get one through to a SF.

One of these guys will have to go to another franchise.

9. Jaguares 19 PD +8
10. Stormers 19 -21
11. Brumbies 19 -28
12. Reds 18 -16
13. Highlanders 18 -24
14. Chiefs 17
15. Sunwolves 11

So, yeah, still two Conferences very much up for grabs & everyone but the 'wolves would still give themselves a chance of finishing in the eight.

Just watched the extended highlights & I reckon TJP was the difference between a W & a L. Astonishing shift from him.
